This is controled by bluetooth though so it doesn't have a lot of range nor the bandwith for transmitting video (though stills might be acceptable). Additionally, if someone knew the military was using it, they could have something that detects the bluetooth signal and tries to hack it or at the very least alerts it's presence.

In short. These could potentially have a lot of military uses but I think they would need another communication method besides bluetooth.

I don't use CRTs. They're a dead technology, and IMHO they just generally suck! ;)

Do you have any reasoning behind this? LCDs are flat and easier on the eyes but you can't get anything above 1280X1024 resolution for under $1000. I have seen 19" CRTs with 1600x1200 for just over $100.

A side from the cost, LCDs/plasmas have a huge problem with displaying true black. Anyone concerned with image quality usually goes with a CRT.

You have price, image quality, resolution, better viewing angle vs space, style.

    CRTs are far from dead.

The fact that they are on roads makes it very easy to control traffic (Stoplights). this owuld be veyr hard to impliment with flying cars.

Exactly. If a technical paper is "easy," then you're probably not going to learn much anyway. Just sitting down and reading a paper from start to finish is worthless. You have to dwelve deeper into it. Check the references; perhaps even put the paper down for a while while you read a book that it referenecs. It takes more then just reading the words off the paper. In hindsight, I should have just let it be though.

As far as advice goes though, I can't say really because I don't have children. I do believe however that there is no set rules for parenting. That's why there are so many parenting books out there and so many messed up children and adults. I believe you have to take it on an individual basis.

I am willing to believe that this kid has generally made good choices in his life. However, I think the advice of "just trust your children and they'll make good choices" is very flawed.
