Agreed. I suspect systemic issues in the organization that at the very least caused a bad practioner to be hired in the first place, and more likely the submitter is a dick that fired someone that didn't put up with nonsense.

This is a problem with geeks in general, it's all digression all the time. Regardless of weather that is drm, or if it's even possible the submitter asked a straight forward question, and a good one at that. For me, in response to the actual question asked. I don't know. :) In all honesty I rarely buy content of any kind (and no I don't steal it, I just don't tend to consume things that would come with DRM). I would do what I did when considering DRM in it's current form...I'd read blogs, I'd listen to what people had to say, I'd read the contracts themselves and arrive at a decision.

I listened to a short piece on this on NPR. Basically, pre 400 years ago, they mention that the data is consistent, yet the sources become less reliable. The scientist that was broadcast via recording did make that pretty clear. He used the word "plausible" to describe the trend at the 1000 year mark.

At least he didn't trot out the "your injuries will raise my health insurance premiums and the government will have to care for you or your widow" argument.

What about that though. I have always kind of considered it a legitimate gripe. I am not trolling I was looking for an honest opinion on the matter. Usually when I am trying to determine freedoms I use the litmus test: "You can do whatever you like, as long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of others". And rasing health care costs does kind of suck for other people.

So if you have a good argument I'd like to hear it, because I really don't like the alternative. It always smells to me like laws that are protecting me from myself, which makes me a bit uncomfortable.
