Don't worry, they don't support the windows software either.
Yes, the shitty windows software is the biggest downside to the new MD Players. The plus is they have battery life in spades. I got one of those NetMD's, and aside from the software, it is the best music device i've ever seen. I go about 2 monthes between changeing the 1 AA battery. If sony would make better software/release what they do to make it work it would eliminate most other players. Also they have digital in, but not out, for high end cd player ripping. The downside is you need Sony's optical cable to plug in to it.
Your kidding me, there's a new Sam and Max coming out? Dog and Rabbit? oh yeah... string elevator (or was it twine).
On a side note, the problem might be that Linux isn't the most install friendly OS sometimes. Granted, I haven't bought any of the boxed games out for it, but I was too entertained making it work for a month straight(thank you gentoo and a lack of knowledge). I might try and get NWN to work sometime though... Wow, a new sam and max... You've made my day.
I know I'm afraid of being considered racist, i scream racial slurs like no tommorow when playing games, but thats only because I live in one of them housing projects. Screw it, being afraid of being considered a bigot is pointless. If your racist, deal with. I am damned tired of n-word punks calling me a white whatever the hell they say. need to learn how to enunciate. I'm not realy racist, so much as stereotypist. Act liek a {racial slur here}, get treated like a {racial slur here}. I'm a pathetic white boy, I know it, and I don't care if i'm treated like a pathetic white boy. BTW, I love making fun of stereotypical white trash southerners, and a bad british accent.
Cause giant fricken robots are cool. They're big, and robots. I wish I was a giant fricken robot, with rockets and laser sword, and transforming abilities..

Now it seems even better that I'm taking Russian classes. Sure, it's confusing and odd at first, but at least its not spanish. And Russian is neat.... VODKA!!!
FrYcaRson. Sometimes I forget that i don't make sense
Theft is theft, but sharing is not theft.
As we learned in kintergarden, sharing is caring. I wish I could just hand money to musicians for their music though, just like when my friends made an album a year back, handed him a buck and a The Transfromers Movie, he handed me his cd and some others. Bartering rocks; we need more places we can just barter random crap for other random crap, too bad the logistics of making this widespread and easy escape me... oh well..
I have to admit that the Xbox is one damn good game system.
At one point I may have agreed, but too many xboxs, well, function poorly. Whilest following usage directions my friends started smoking. Something decided to catch fire inside. He worked at a game store and on a regular basis xboxs would come back, well, nonfunctional due to severe overheating. It's cool though, cause when it happens it's like slow motion and dropped frames, followed by possible smoke and flames. They may have improved upon the heat management system with recent release model revisions, but I know I can not, in good conscience, allow the XBox be touted as anything but a gamble. And are there any good games out yet?
_fryCarson, The best part of the Xbox was how it cost M$ around $150 a unit...
Last I checked Iraq was trying to show how they didn't have WMD with letting weapon inspectors in and follow most demands (IIRC) except for saddam to leave the country (AIIRC he isn't "allowed" to do that thanks to Desert Storm or whatever). We've been in and out of there for the last, what, 6-7 years with inspectors. Sure he jerked everyone around every once and a while, but always seemed to give in when the armed forces came out. W was out of line. We have done much more damage then 9/11 did to us just bombing random countries for the last, well, 20 or so years. America is dirty, but luckily most of the stuff our country has done isn't plastered on the front page. USA needs to mind our own business and stop policing the world. No one likes cops, especially the corrupt bully type.
This is a good sign, it at least shows one state knows a good thing thats been around a while, maybe Mass can throw in some bids on the federal level for open source solutions. At least this can help open the lines of communications between the open source community and the government. Too bad they'll likely get annexed and slowly reassimilated into the states after M$ and uncle Sam explain that the'yre supporting terrorsit with their commie software....
-FryCarson; I'm not a doctor, but for $50 bucks I'll pretend.
I think the ultimate example of people being fooled are these new-fangled(sic) HDTV. I've seen better divx encodings from a 400Mhz celeron then some of the things they show. Some people might not care, but I know quite a few people will be pissed when we are left without any analog television/radio. I can't stand encoding artifacts (especially on dvd's). Cd's are acceptably lacking digital artifacts, but some DVD's (mainly animation where is more noticable) have random motion blocks. Cable has them now, DirectTV has always had the damned things. Most people don't seem to mind, or complain about it, because it isn't too noticable all the time but when you windex your tv and dust your monitor on an hourly(ok, exagerating the windexing of the ol' telly) you tend to notice artifacts. And that is why television should be text based. just a screen of captions depicting action. I don't know what I've written thanks to this nifty text only browser, i hope it made sense...
FRYCaRSON _-_-_-I don't know what I'm doing-_-_-_
For things like that it is very common for a programmer to look at the old user interface and design the new one to be as similiar to it as possible.
I don't know about anyone else taking programming/program design classe, but when I've taken them the teachers were pretty clear that users are retarded so you need to make everything look the same or they'd crap themselves in fear of learning. Same easy to follow menus, and preferabbly what appears to be the same general features (Cut, Paste, Copy, Find) in things like text editors (that was the easiest one to remeber the demand for likeness for). It's more then business sense, it's accepting that users are too dumb on average to figure out whats going on.
Brought to you by a student at shitty ameriKan skool.

"You're such a stereotype of yourself."
Well, if you consider following someone elses plans to make some pretty colors on a tv screen new he did. Just like when you make hamburger helper, it's new and unheard of. yep... new...
the RIAA and it's affiliates have contributed to the destruction of the morals......selling music that teach nothing more then violence, indiscriminate sex, and foul language
Lets not forget all the rap talking about robbing liquor stores and breaking into houses. And drug use... The RIAA needs to accept that most of their music sucks, the economy is down (compared to the Clinton years) and people just can't afford to blow money on less then great music (well, some can, but the doesn't mean they will). But then again what do I know, I'm not a media conglomerate out to make money, I'm just a poor college student who wishes he didn't live in AmeriKa.
Fry Carson, AmeriKa looks 13373r
Well ther reason the media ripped on Bill for the blowjob was it was good gossip. Bush ruining everyone/thing on Earth is a little much for most people to want to bitch at...
