you can always get 2thousand latest CPUs, stick them in a cluster and have a super computer... but unless we move forward towards faster individual CPU, nothing is awe inspiring...
Actually if Bill was smart enough to have software that requires a P3 at least (today's "standards") all the "faster" computers would work better... since they are pretty much all on the same x86 architecture... (except for P4)
When the idea of copyright came up (invention of the printing press), it was straight forward... make copies of someone's book and sell it... and guess what, pirates did it...
today it is not so easy because a 3MB song can be exchanged rather easily and doesn't require any money to stamp them out...
Also, those internet selling web sites (iTunes, etc.)... why are they selling music in lossy compression format? what happened to giving RAW wave files???
Maybe Guttenburg (sp?) was a bad man for inventing the printing press, just like whoever invented tape recorders, and etc. (computers included)
Who cares if it looks legal... RIAA will sue them anyway!!!
Don't quit your dayjobs, students. Now gimmie that ketchup!
Always remember, a music distribution is legal as long as RIAA gets "mo' money" from it... everything else is illegal and those people are worse than terrorists, at least according to RIAA...
NOTE: I think that Al Qaeda or whoever can have a "911 times a hundred" if they just distribute MP3s...
simple comparison for food shopping, when I left (Nov 1996), bread in Odessa cost about 40-45 cents... for fresh bread, and imagine the lines (what they show in textbooks is true), in US, it costs 1.29 for a loaf of bread...
in US - minimal wage is 5USD, in Ukraine 5USD was a damn good amount of money...

college students re-sell Turkish made ripoffs on markets because after going to a uni, there isn't much hope for them to earn an honest/legal living...

I hope you copyrightes that code. Because I have a feeling half of /. will try the code out ...
At least this is a better way to catch incompatabilities. *cough* SP2 *cough*
Let's just hope Canada outsources these jobs back to US. What goes around comes around, right?

SoundStorm is still crap, it's pretty much AC97 with a chip dedicated to decoding it ...
What about using winrar or other compression utilities to make everything smaller ... like in TRON ... but you need a compactor for the real world :-\
