This is nothing like a headset for your cellphone. This is like playing around with the car radio while on a fast-moving, crowded highway. You don't do it.
So what? You put the iPod in, make it play when you get on and not fiddle with it then? Right? Then what the fuck is the point of even having it? Just buy the damn iRadio (or whatever) kit. Done. You can play it on any car with a radio.

What? Are they going to make it a "snow" steering wheel, and you turn it left/right to navigate through the LCD menu (displayed in big letters on the windshield)?

I have been using this for about a week, on the same setup that that dude has. I have installed Panther (OS X 10.3), and I must say I'm impressed. These guys have managed to do what others thought of as impossible. Mind you, It's damned slow. It actually took a little over 3 hours to install on my machine. But that was a really basic install (no other but required software).
emaculation http://www.emaculation.com is running some pretty good forums, with already a ton of questions/answers on it regarding PearPC and the installation of OS X, ect. Plus some pretty good guides for those who don't know where to start.
I see really huge potential in this.
Mind you, if you want usability in this. You are going to be dissapointed, it's SLOW AS FUCK. But then again, It's justafiable. Give it some time, and you'll see. This baby is really going to go places.

I was keeping my WinXP Distro because I can't get Counter-Strike to run well on Linux, but hell... If I can get this desktop, I wouldn't mind brushing of that fedora CD and giving it another try.

Couldn't they have chose better distro's to judge linux on? don't get me wrong.. all distro's are created equal. But you have to admit, some are lazier than others. Whatever that means... they should have chosen Debian, Mandrake, or Slackware.:P, but that's just imho.
