    my Nokia 5185i does just that, press the power button once to display mode, continue short presses to select an option, then press+hold to select, also a press+hold to start is shut off.

    actually with the GPL you indicate your acceptance by carrying out an act (distributing) which you are legally prohibited from doing by default. the rest of those are indeed unenforcable except as far as terminating your access (banned from website)

    I think the Audio CD-R's exist only as an excuse for the CD-R manufacturers to tell the RIAA to go fuck themselves.

    well it's not a ripoff, I don't kno about SIMS, but Everquest requires a ton of work to keep online (which, btw, are IT jobs IN AMERICA) and the servers actually run most of the game, call me when they start charging for access to the UT[2K{3|4}] master server list.

    but leasing results in a new car every x years, without the hassle of having to sell the old car first, as well as the added reliability. Honestly i can see auto leasing as a very logical solution because

    A) people don't want cars sitting in front of their house that they are trying to sell
    B)people don't want to have to drive all over to random houses when looking at used cars
    C)People would rather buy a car from someone they know will be aroiund to sue them if the car was sold fraudulently(ie. undisclosed fire/water damage)
    D) Dealerships are better at selling cars (and finding the right price point) than random owners.

    It is in no way illegal to put Linux on an XBOX, it is illegal to put a mod chip in that lets you play pirated games, what is needed (If not already available) is a mod chip that will not play XBOX games unless they are legitimat copies, then there is no DMCA violation (no cicumvention, no crime)

    effective, and resonable ideas

    So effective it would eliminate all piracy from those unable to operate amanual focus. now having a IR and UV laser light grid projected onto the screen would disrupt many cameras, which often can see one of those two ranges (my father's old Sony Handicam can see TV remotes quite well)

    that night vision unit would be an IR unit, if the theaters use that, i will be forced to bring in a TV remote in order to fuck with them.

    because it is so hard to snip one frame from a movie (hell, with software specialized fore pirating, it could even interpolate the watermarked area only based on previous and next frame

    I wonder if a camera flash is powerful enough to fry the Nightvision goggles, they used to be really sensitive to bright light, but probably not anymore.

    photoshop doesn't do video editing, but pinnacle studio 8 does, and i have two legit copies (I/O Magic 4x DVD-RW drive and a Canon ZR75MC DV camcorder)

    well the difference between claiming credit for other's work and obtaining unauthorized copies is huge.

    nothing at all, is it wrong to trick 419 scammers into sending you money? there is nothing wrong with restraining your actions in order to hurt cheaters/scammers more that acting right away, the only problem i have with it is if his works affected the curve and harmed the grades of other students.

    as it should be, although I would suggest that the school expell cheaters the moment their last tuition check clears, I bust my ass writing papers and doing projects, and i fully support any action to nail cheaters to the wall by the sack.

    you only have to swap batteries if you leave the backlit display on like a noob, turn it off and use the viewfinder, you will get a HUGE improvement in battery life (appx 180 photos on one set of batteries for me) when the preview display is on the camera has to run the display and the focus motors *Constantly* rather than for a few moments for each picture
