    I had a program on my TI-86 calculator years ago that did that, essentially a text file but each line could have more lines inside it, and it wasn't limited to 15 layers. It was very useful

    it sounds like they are using some function^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^Hcommand which can be nondeterministic but it is likely also something that is not a part of the DX/OGL spec and so future revisions might just return null

    not so much a mitm but a remote zombie, just use a remote control to cause victim's PC's to do the dirty work on themselves, bonus points it is much harder for the victim to claim fraud since IP logs and hardware fingerprinting show it was done from their PC, for even nastier crimeware, have it wait until certain activities are detected such as facebook posting or email reading so the user was provably at their computer at the time of the transaction. further extended have the malware delivered through remote exploit but never touch the hard drive, only act when it can do so from memory so it leaves no trace

    it's kinda pathetic really, the REB 1100 from nuvo/gemstar/RCA released in 2001 with a dialup modem as it's book store uplink, could have fonts added to it and used with any books in it's 8 Megabyte onboard media or up to 32 Megabyte SMART MEDIA memory card

    it also had a adjustable backlit indiglo display, which was only matched by this year's Nook with backlight

    I had a similar idea the other day, penalize lawyers writing a C&D or other demand letter for which they do not, at the time of the writing, have a documented good faith expectation that they could prevail in court.

    i don't have a problem with DRM requires internet (well actually i do, but ideological purity takes a back seat to "i know how to get a crack for this shit") I refuse to play a single player game that is only partially on your PC and is dependent upon a remote server to function, for not legitimate reason

    one of the most affordable units i have found is the solidoodle, it's $500 bucks, strongly recommend the $50 pro upgrade that adds a heated build platform and upgraded power supply.

    6x6x6 build area is not the biggest, but it's very respectable

    there is not, that i am aware of, a business culture which assumes that anyone can perform emergency medicine. there are plenty of execs who think they know how to do the programmers job because one time back in '98 they made a spreadsheet that adds up a column and prorates it by the number of days remaining this month

    counterproductive; if you have the inexperienced team do the initial work, the experienced programmers will be slowed down by having to work around and redesign out the structural mistakes.

    you want your experienced engineers designing the parts that a) are most critical to correct operation and/or b) are most interconnected with other systems. faults in a or b can/will derail the entire project.

    almost anyone stealing $1.25 rides is probably too hard up for cash to be worth pursuing, sending inspectors time to time keeps anyone who can afford the fare honest. how many tax dollars do you suggest spending incarcerating and feeding fare jumpers?

    they probably dropped yelp due to the suspicious handling of reviews, it appears that their review spam filter is very influenced by whether or not the business has a paid advertising account with yelp.
