    it has the inherant advantage of not throwing a gigantic monkey wrench into oceanic biochemistry

    the downside i see would be the CO2 thermal timebomb in that if nothing else is done about AGW and carbon emissions remain near sequester rates for a long period of time then exceed them, if the sequestered CO2 gets warmed and creates a runaway release.

    it would also allow you to import your key once and sign test bioses as you work without rebooting to load

    instead, allow adding signing keys in the bios menu, so if you want to load your own bios you generate a key, type it in at bios, then install bios.

    you are neglecting to consider that the reduction in rate would be less than the reduction in frequency and magnitude of payouts. it certainly would be, that is how insurance companies make their money

    this is false. there is existing precedent that he could be questioned at the Swedish embassy, Sweden has declined to do so, most likely because it would be difficult to hand him over to the CIA from there to be shipped to a turkish prison and tortured to death.

    How did we get to a place where states like Russia, Venezuela, and Ecuador are â" explicitly or implicitly â" thought to be more "free" by ANY measure than the US, UK, and Sweden?

    by pursuing whistleblowers as spies instead of prosecuting the crimes exposed by the whistleblowers

    just as it is customary for Google/MS/Oracle/Apple employees to disclose their connection when they talk about their respective companies or direct competitors.

    everyone is entitled to their opinion, but failing to disclose being an operative for one of the parties will certainly impact others' opinion of your trustworthiness when that connection comes to light. It's fairly common for people involved to comment around here, but it is customary to throw a little Disclaimer at the end or beginning of the post so it won't look like you were trying to hide something when someone makes the connection.

    difference is, a typical spam campaign will be for a $30 pack of make your penis huge pills. these are $500 or $1000 "fines" AND the victims are scared, thus less likely to report it or talk about it. Imagine your reaction if a non-technical co worker mentioned at lunch how they bought in to an email real estate offer vs. your reaction if he mentioned "so... the other day i was looking at child porn and the FBI put this message on my computer....."

    i had a blitz brand gas can, it was a leaky piece of shit and the spout fell apart on me when i was pouring. i don't know the details of the lawsuit but i am not surprised they got sued out of business using such low quality construction for something as hazardous as holding gasoline.

    Nifty trick, but overall near useless, except in cases where sucess is much less important than deniability (sp?). Fatal flaw is that the scan of configuration is plaintext and so potential targets can reflash their systems to read back different configs slightly (append Penis" to version strings, etc. And immunize themselves from the secret payload

    they must manually install it. blackberry can install an app from the web as a link, so manually installing would be easier than doing so on android or ios, but it requires user permission and will have to get permissions approved to access anything and will show up in applications list to be removed at any time by the user.
