    that actually sounds like a fun way to mod the game, roll out a mod that forces server side distribution of those variables, with points earned while playing that allow you to modify your gear weapons and vehicles. UT2004 has a server mod that builds in an RPG like element, it works great with progressive invasion mod, all players are allied anyways so having some players able to shoot for 5x the damage of others isn't a big deal, and it lets more and more insane waves of monsters be beaten by the players, especially with good teamwork

    it's not on a CPU it's going to be a hard programmed IC, no way in hell is a general purpose CPU going to meet the voltage and power constraints of a hearing aid.

    design patents are typically very exact, in order to win apple would have to find a competing device which, for the most part at least, looked exactly like a rebadged macbook

    People are getting their knickers all twisted because 'The Man' might one day prevent self registered keys. I guess MS might do this in the future if they really wanted to have another round of antitrust proceedings. In the meantime UEFI will let you verify your boot image against rootkits and other such badness (would be nice if you could force deregister all other keys too, not sure if it can)

    in 40-50 years all standard construction will be designed out of 1m^3 cube templates, really not a bad idea from an insulation and materials standpoint which will be good because the only CAD program left will be minecraft Pro version 37

    original transformer cost me 600 bucks, (32 gig model) i got it more as a replacement netbook than as a tablet, though i do frequently use it without the keyboard I can bring it along without bothering with power cables for up to a week depending on how much i am going to use it, and the power adapter is TINY more like a cell phone charger than a laptop power supply, the fact that the keyboard/USB host/dock is a power booster rather than a drain is just gravy.

    the FCC isthe sole regulator of antennas, HOAs cannot do so, condos can IF they are regulatingattachment to shared property such as outside walls and roofs. but a patio the HOA or condo association has no authority over.

    you can sign whatever you want, then throw up a 50' HAM antenna, as long as it complies with FCC (and possibly FAA) regs your HOA cannot do jack shit about it.

    nothing is fool proof, but it takes a much bigger fool to run system commands when they think they are opening a video or image than it takes to double click a file showing the default windows media player icon named pronzors.avi.exe

    linux does not defult to allowing execution of files, unless they are explicitly marked as executable, files downloaded are not executable until you manually make them so, .pdf.pl files will just throw error messages.

    chopping out the commercials is creating a derivative work, as it is doing so on a local copy it is not permitted under first sale, as the derivative is being created by the rebroadcaster they will lose hard in court
