    i see no reason why a fast food tea maker could not include a countercurrent exchange that cooled the outgoing tea and prewarmed the water going in to make more tea, serving a safer product and conserving energy

    the interface has not been "fixed" because there is nothing wrong with it in the first place, the window behavior is unintuitive and annoying on microsoft windows because despite it's name, windows has really shitty window management.

    bullshit, amazon has to ship as well, and whether the cost is integrated into the product with "free" shipping (no such thing) or if it's an added cost. they usually balance out so online orders pay as much in shipping as they save in taxes.

    i was thinking an eeepc running a script to send reset commands inwards towards bittorrent ports. the fact that they can be blocked by the students if they wish to is neither my nor the university's problem. i would sell these at a markup of about $50 over retail

    that was because you were running it on a toy computer. i have no problem running evony, which does similar 3D flash on a 1.6ghz pentium M machine running xubuntu

    if the disk cache has a bad bit you should get a fairly steady stream of errors at a rate of about (dataReadingRate/diskCacheSize)* numberBitsDamagedInCache

    in 100 years it should be easy enough to reattach to the pins, especially if one particular design, like WORM SD becomes popular, a bracket with MEM drills that cut through the plastic in the right places and connect to the chip in the right places should not be too expensive, at least not so for anyone who needs to get at 100 year old data badly enough. probably easier / cheaper than current paper restoration techniques
