"Microsoft has joined a growing group of security software vendors who are treating Sony BMG Music Entertainment's controversial Extended Copy Protection (XCP) copy protection software as a threat. Microsoft has announced it will begin treating the software as spyware and offering users tools to remove it, just as a Princeton University computer science researcher raised questions about a second Sony copy protection product."
All you need to do is find the master rar file (the one with no #'s at the end of it) when you un-rar that it will suck all the other ones in anc produce one big avi file;)
We did get redundancy... every server has a failover node, but this, I would emagine should be standard to any app that needs 99 % uptime... I would not dare to run a critical app on any type of server (windows/linux/unix/ect) that did not have redundancey... I'll keep a eye out for any shenanigans never-the-less!
It's really disappointing that people argue both sides, they are 2 separate things - one is a philosophy - the other is about observation. One strives to understand the "why" the other the "how"... The thing people don't realize that they are not mutually exclusive - i.e. both can and should exist together. I think the issue is that we should not be teaching a philosophy under the guise of science and a science as an philosophy. And both sides are equally guilty of that.
Wow.... Note sure when this was (Slammer=99?) - but we just reacently signed up for 8 servers. 2 web, 2 DB, 2 AD, 2 Exchange - and I must say their support and quality so far is excelent... Have not had a problem yet. I would definatly recomend them to anyone looking for "outsourcing" server support.
I think if you highlight the variable tyhen right-click there is something like "goto definition" option that will jump to the declaration of the variable... works for functions too..
Attitude like that will get you replaced with a short Perl script....:)
Personally if I work 50 hrs, I make sure that the extra 10 are on something that will grow me as an programmer, person, ect.... If I can not "justify" is as a personal investment I won't do it...
Just thinking, is it really that the Linux OS is more secure or is it that the % of knowledgeable users using windows is lower the % of knowledgeable users using Linux?
IMO Most of "Windows" issues are users: downloading this screen saver, installing that searchbar - running that "Funny" email attachment - Linux users tend to not do stupid stuff like clicking on the "Click here to scan your system!" links....
Bottom line - windows is for the Masses - MS tries to make it user friendly and idiot proof, but I guess they keep coming up with better idiots.
I am an American - and also voted for Bush both times, and as far as I can tell you are a fucking prick - I must be the only one that feels that One life lost to terror is one life too many. Our prayrs are with you London!
It was never supposed to stop terrorists in London, but you miss the point, the idea is that if you remove fundamentalism, dictatorships, and spread democracy you will eventually dry out the beds that breed terrorism... Remember terrorism is not any particular belief - it is a symptom. It's about freeing peoples minds, which will take years. But mayhap in 2 generations, our efforts will pay off.
You know Russians are a very shoe-string type people, a story goes that Americans spent 2 years and a Million dollors to invent a pen that would work in micro-gravity... Russians used pencils. I would not be surprised if Russians make it there first, anyone smell another space race on the way?

It belonged to rackspace - They rent them out.
Would you happen to have some facts laying around about that?
And what do you want from code in 4 years? Lifespan of most programms is much less (2 years IMHO)....

I think it was not so much that the mobile network was switched off rather that it could not handle the load,
"He just grows them out of the ground"..

I like to think of the soul as a smell.... It's there when your body is alive, it is not when it's dead...
