Someone got it before me I'm pretty sure... but let's say no one did. He ALWAYS is on a potty break, seeing how he assigns true to reboot, therefore the condition always returns true. I'm a genius.
Correct syntax would be if (reboot == true) { potty_break(); }
(Notice the double "=")
Ok, now I stop being a smartass.
For as far as I know, as soon as the shuttle starts its descent towards Earth, it simply falls like a rock: there's now way, at that point, to take it back up.
Just imagine the ammount of (unavailable) thruster it would take to stop and then redirect a hundred tons mass going down at dozen times the speed of sound: even if they had full thruster power, it would be almost impossible. Just think about how much force is required to lift it from the ground from 0 mph to a few times the speed of sound. Now, take that into account and change that 0 mph speed to something around 20,000 mph, directed in the opposite direction.
Actually, the first plants started using water to move their "seeds": it was more like some kind of sperm that male plants would release into water in hope they would reach female ovules. This was the very first method used by plants to reproduce (actually, we, humans, are using this exact same method).
Next they used the wind to move their pollen around and finally, as you said, they're using bugs, which are very efficient since they move from plant to plant, carrying the pollen from a plant to the other without much lost.
That's exactly what I thought and what I was about to say.
Most techy guys won't accept clothes as a christmas gift. If there's to be some clothes, then it has to be backed by the latest PDA, MP3 player or ThinkGeek gadget!
We must also add that the room theses features will take (I think about the covers for the keyboard plus that arm that holds the screen) either makes the laptop bigger or takes place for some more useful upgrades, room you'd want to spare on something more useful in a desktop replacement laptop such as more RAM, a good video chipset, or anything else...
So! We have a big laptop that could be small, with some neat features for thoses who want to look "cool"... with a higher price.
Linux is already portable on at least one PDA I know of: the Psion 5mx. Imagine this: if I get to connect it to the internet through my cellphone (irDa port), with Linux installed, that would make that device one heck of a portable tool!

I guess it might look funny: imagine walking through a wonderful, green, grass field where there are some red spots all around.
"Mom, we're going out to play soccer!"
"Ok boys, take care and watchout for the red grass!"
Still, if it grows quickly and is easily adaptable to all kind of grounds, it could be an excellent way to remove mines in large dangerous zones.
