While I'm late to the party, there is a way as demonstrated almost 400 years ago; we here in the US should create our own Guy Fawkes day, not in memory but in actions:
Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
The Gunpowder Treason and Plot,
I know of no reason
Why Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot.
Guy Fawkes, Guy Fawkes, t'was his intent
To blow up King and Parliament.
Three-score barrels of powder below
To prove old England's overthrow;
By God's providence he was catch'd
With a dark lantern and burning match.
Holloa boys, holloa boys, let the bells ring.
Holloa boys, holloa boys, God save the King!
I don't think a Psych degree counts... Depends on your type of degree; Clinical Psychology, Physiological Psychology, or Experimental Psychology count.
I wonder if a MS in Computer Science would work...that's pretty close to math/logic. Yes it does accroding to TFA (TFJP maybe?):
Applicants for the Astronaut Candidate Program must meet the basic education requirements for NASA engineering and scientific positions--specifically: successful completion of standard professional curriculum in an accredited college or university leading to at least a bachelor's degree with major study in an appropriate field of engineering, biological science, physical science, or mathematics.
The following degree fields are not considered qualifying: --Degrees in Technology (Engineering Technology, Aviation Technology, Medical Technology, etc.) --Degrees in Psychology (except for Clinical Psychology, Physiological Psychology, or Experimental Psychology, which are qualifying) --Degrees in Nursing --Degrees in Exercise Physiology or similar fields --Degrees in Social Sciences (Geography, Anthropology, Archaeology, etc.) --Degrees in Aviation, Aviation Management, or similar fields So I dont see why not, heck the worst they can say is 'No' So why not? I have one, I did.
It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion,
it is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed,

the shaking becomes a warning,
it is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.
The second attemppt to launch was sucessfull on April 20th at 12:57 EDT according to the launch update
And according to the update on Wikipedia page for GP-B was sucessfully placed in orbit: The satellite was placed in orbit at 11:12:33 AM (18:12:33 UTC) after a cruise period over the south pole and a short second burn.
One wonders why these literal rocket scientists didn't just get a software programmable Linux or PalmOS based wrist-computer and hack together a Mars-time display application into it?"
To bash an old quote: Its the total geek factor stupid
It the difference between geek and UBER geek. Making a program or something else that is dependant on another device is too easy and while it does rate a little on the geek factor scale, its no where near the geek factor in a dedicated device.
Look at the binary clock, yea sure it could be done using an interface like java, dedicated device is WAAAAAY Cooler, and you don't have to switch screens to use it.
Vonage and get the soft phone (as many as you want) with all those features and a CISCO 186 for $14.95 a month.
If I read this right its jut for the softphone not for the sevice that will make it work on top of that. If all you want is the soft phone, there are plenty of freeware ones available with the same featues. I've used X-Lite in the past and found it to not suck.
This is a very interesting insight to the methodology in use by this agency, begs a few questions about the rest of thier work. Are these folks normally in the habit of drawing conclusions based on extrapolated data obtained from uncalibrated visual systems ? Do they normally draw conclusions from incomplete data, even tho there is strong evidence to suggest the conclusion is not correct, based on the missing correlation data that should be present (missing parachute).
Speaking from experience, yes.
What they are supposed to do is to look at only the evidence presented and not draw a conclusion. What I have seen more often is that they are presented with a theory and they look for supporting evidence, which is human nature. This is one of the reasons why I got out of that business, the lack of objectivity.
These are interesting academic questions, until you put the final perspective on it. The conclusions this intelligence agency draws, become part of the basis for starting wars.
One only has to look at recent history to find out how true that statement is.
The easy way to observe anti-bubbles is to view freshly pored pint of Guinness. You will notice that the head seems to 'sink' or dissolve from the bottom of the rim of the glass down into the glass. This is also known as the 'chocolate milk' affect due to its resemblance to this sweater drink.
No need to go down to your local pub, you can get this fresh taste by getting a can of Guinness from you local super market. It is charged with nitrogen when you open the can. The process for the 'nitrogen cakes' in the can is described in U.S. patent no. 4,832,968.
Just goes to show you what you can do when you have the right tools. Plastic bender and CNC Mill, so $10K and about 5 years of exp. and you can do it too!
In order to qualify for the TopTen program consideration, any commercial production database implementation was required to feature a minimum of 500GB of data for Microsoft Corp.'s Windows and NT platforms and 1TB of data for all other platforms.
They did this with Jesse James in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kearney, Nebraska and that didn't change a thing, people went on believing what they wanted to believe.
So in the end the towns will still have their claims
But I guess the added publicity will still have the affect of getting the towns in the paper and perk peoples interest. Which in the end is all that matters in this case anyway.
Yoops steeped on my Yondal there, I was thinking that the deal to accquire RH by AOL Suceeded.
Just Ignore Me.
To Quote one of my more linux savy friends "I'm so tired of this issue being mis-quoted by the press. Most of the writers for IT rags don't know what the hell they are talking about.
RedHat was NOT acquired by AOL. (that was a joke right?) RedHat Linux is not dead (just renamed Fedora). The product line is being expanded, not contracted.
I think that what is confusing people is the name changes. Trying to provide the fast paced release of new software and features to desktop users, and trying to provide a stable long-lasting codebase for server development to center around was mutually exclusive. (You know the old saying about "you can't please all of the people all of the time....") "
...its Detroit! Michigan is the only reason why both California and Florida dont fall off into the Ocean. It sucks that much.

So how can you have half of 0?
Yes and no on the shuttles; depends on which value of the life span your looking at and its definition;
p rogram.
'Each vehicle was designed with a projected lifespan of 100 launches, or 10 years operational life.'http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Shuttle_
Shuttle - Flights
Columbia - 28
Challanger - 10
Discovery - 33
Atlantis - 28
Endevor - 19
As of 22 June 2007
If by 'operational life' they mean number of years actually in orbit not in the hangar undergoing maintinace or waiting for launch then still no:
Shuttle - Flight Days
Columbia - 300.74
Challanger - 62.41
Discovery - 281.45
Atlantis - 257.83
Endevor - 206.60
It's these stats that lead folks to to say that the shuttles had a 50 year life span.

Silly customer, you cannot hurt a twinkie! Thank you for coming, I'll see you in hell. (*Shotgun pumping*)

Couldnt verify that with the GP-P Offical Site or NASA GP-P Site but I may have not been looking hard enough.
:P

Cooperation between the US and EU instead of what happened with Data Privacy and Safe Harbor.

To what extent did AOL have a hand in its demise or was that in it's(AOL) plans in the first place when it acquired RH?
Whats next, the death of Netscape(Another AOL Company)?
Could it be that the DOJ should let up on M$ and start watching AOL?
