Right, and those limitations were placed in response to P2P. My school (This was at WWU) also had similar limitations after a couple quarters. Not that it helped, much.
I don't think universities care if its legit use or not, they care about strain on their network. And since I was living in a dorm when Napster first became popular, I can attest that P2P is a *huge* strain on a campus network.
The rest of the hardcore computing world has switch to Apple? Remind me to congratulate Mr. Jobs on this accomplishment.

On earth, the atmosphere and magnetic field stop much of cosmic radiation. Europa likely has neither. And we don't have a giant planet pouring out radiation right next to us.
Because there is likely liquid water beneath the ice, and there are also likely some hydrothermal vents in that water. Its been theorized that these are the sort of conditions that life on earth first formed in.
Its not a huge suprise - look at Valve's "current" games (this survey was conducted using Steam). You don't *need* a fast, modern card to run Half-Life.
Err, leaving the country because you feel you have no voice anymore, not in response to a draft, but in general disgust at the state of politics, is not cowardice. People who leave the country when they feel there's no point trying anymore aren't the true enemies of a democracy - the idiot politicians who alienated those people enough to consider leaving are.
I'm not sure how they're measuring that (survey maybe? thats just asking for inaccuracy), since the Linux client was included on the Windows disks for UT2k3, was a downloadable patch for UT, and will be included on the disks again for 2k4.
No, its stupid. And what if I'm making putting data backups on those CD-Rs I (hypothetically) just paid a "fair use" tax on? There's no way any government should be able to charge or punish you for something you might do. Whats next? Paying extra taxes on cars because you might break traffic laws with them? The only real difference is there's no big money corporation that would benefit from it.
He didn't say fabulous riches - he said more than "not go hungry."
The general idea being, you have to get more training, and put more effort into that training, so you should be able to do better financially than a burger flipper. Imagine that.
I haven't done a lot of research on it (out of my price-range.. what do I care), but I'm pretty sure the 970 doesn't exactly run _cool_, the way the older PPCs did. There's a reason Apple hasn't put out a G5 Powerbook yet...
Err, just about anything that travels on or in the water, and just about anything that travels in the air without wings (fixed or otherwise). The name "air submarine" is just silly.. you can't be in the air and submarine at the same time. And it doesn't WORK anything like a normal submarine either (A blimp would works much more like a traditional submarine than this thing, floating through the air driven by propellers). It does work similarly to some long range remote submarines, but thats not what most people think of when they hear "submarine."
The definition of acceleration is ANY change in velocity. So yes.. braking is acceleration. It sounds funny, but its perfectly correct.

My school never had a firewall while I was using their internet.. That was left to the students, if they wanted it.

It doesn't snow *that* much in Central Washington.
Really. And how did he get back to earth from Alpha Centauri within a lifetime *before* he invented any sort of FTL technology?
Why don't we just combine the two? 10 fingers, 10 commandments.. coincidence? (probably not..)

If its fair use, you shouldn't be paying for it anyway. That totally goes against the entire CONCEPT of fair use.

Err, except the winning team will almost always have BOTH tanks..
Err, in the original UT you could use dual PISTOLS. Thats a little different.

And manned submarines have "fuel" too.

Don't be silly. It would obviously be disguised as a (insert terrorist of the week) nuke.
And then of course there are people who ARE bright and are hired at Microsoft. Its fun to make generalizations isn't it. :)
No, actually, I'd call him a damn poor president.
