    Not only that, but get Linux out of the way and it can be even easier. In FreeBSD:
    sudo pkg_add -r squid
    sudo pkg_add -r dansguardian

    Fiddle with the config files (a little) & you are done.

    It only took 15 minutes to install the base system. All my hardware autodetected without problems. What's wrong with the installer?

    From the article:
    I had assumed that like FreeBSD and NetBSD, that desktop/graphics would not be supported. That assumption turned out to be incorrect.
    Not sure where he got that warped idea about "desktop/graphics"; *BSD supports these things just fine, thank you.

    It used to be (according to things that I have read on the 'net) that as long as you installed an IDE/ATA DVD recorder internally, then iDVD would use it. Is this no longer the case?

    Mono today ships with a Just-in-Time compiler for x86-based systems. It is tested regularly on Linux, FreeBSD and Windows (with the XP/NT core).

    So okay, does anybody know how well it runs on Dragonfly?

    For those of you that do not know, what is being studied is how protein molecules "fold" themselves before doing useful work. Improper folding often accompanies diseases, so studying why things go wrong can help toward curing diseases like Alzheimer's, Mad Cow (BSE), CJD, ALS, and Parkinson's.
