    Remember CD keys on Office 95 that were xxxx-xxxxxxx where the validation was if the 7 digits at the end, when summed, were divisible by seven the key was good? So 1111-1111111 was a valid key?!

    This is the same thing 20 years later! Nobody learns!

    They are made to work essentially 24/7, they get paid shit and they are treated like disposable napkins. The immorality of H1-B is absolutely disgusting.

    This happens to everybody every day... The poor SOBs in the retention department (notice the name), are rated based on how many people they can RETAIN. They can be fired if they have a bad day and a whole bunch of folks actually manage to cancel.

    What kind of company doesn't have people working at all hours of the night, even if you aren't global? I've put in many all nighters or weekends. We have people that come in at 5 am normally, others that work until midnight...

    When I had my broadband installation done I had the installer put the cable modem on one of my junk machines. He was happy, and I could reimage the machine that he filled with crap after I moved the modem to where it should be :)

    There are plenty of ways to get a law suit brought against your business without breaking a single law. People being suits against a company and just the cost of cooperating with the other guys discovery requests can be enormous.

    Plus, did you think of the disk space requirements it takes to keep everything forever? Things need to be deleted in order to reduce IT infrastructure costs.
