If I had mod points I would have modded you up for two insightful comments:
1. All of your post up to the last line 2. The last line of your post
Especially that second one. You computer nerds aren't always as smart as you think you are. A touch of humility might be what your sexual and social prowess lacks.
I don't think Demonoid's account restrictions have anything to do with user security. It's far more related to torrent quality. Upload a virus? Bam! You're out. Upload a fake? More bam! You're out.
The Demonoid folk make an effort to report torrents that work well too, meaning you can read in a torrent's comments to find missing files, cracks, serials, links to better torrents, etc.
Any effort I make to learn a new piece of software is often an impulse so I have to acquire that software fast. So thanks Demonoid, you've kept me educated. In turn I've purchased the software I've learnt to use. I don't think anyone at this point realistically argues that there's no place for piracy.
Well, they do pay taxes. Civic development for taxpayers does seem reasonable, and may even encourage growth. You sound like a model american politician though, so keep up the good work!
I sign up to services like this with a particular format email address, usually something like "wowh_nospam@mydomain.com". I like to see who then turns around and uses my email address for either spam or as a return recipient.
Pretty much as soon as I signed up for wowhead I found it being used in said return recipient field in a lot of spam that has come back to me since then.
Does nobody who uses Linux understand marketing? How can you have an article about a portable media player WITHOUT ANY FUCKING PICTURES?
Complete and utter failure. Stop making such a big deal over each little cutesy change to your OSes and start making them a way of life. You should expect the best, not beg for it.
I just finished watching a National Geographic documentary about building the new bridge across the hoover dam. Therefore I was amused to be able to tell what point construction was at when they filmed the hoover dam flyby for the movie. They must have had to be damn careful of the cables and high-line towers you can clearly see in the shot.
I think the new bridge is going to ruin the visual impact of future movies, but who knows. Got to stay true to reality.
If I want to move data from here to another location in NZ, it costs very litle. If I want to move data to the US, it costs significantly more.
What do you suggest instead? Some sort of socialist arrangement where we pay more for national traffic and less for international, evening it out? Or should we just pay realistic amounts that help offset the utterly gargantuan outlay our telcos made to lay fiber to the US?
The final truth in this argument is if you ask the network engineers running the show (now the slashbot wannabes) they make it pretty clear that a tiered service is better from almost all viewpoints except piracy.
So anyone who disagrees with you is an astroturfer? I was expecting stupid accusations like that, congratulations on living up to my lowest expectations. Fucktard.

If you keep an eye on it, getting an account at demonoid.com is easy. Since getting in there, my bittorrent experience has been a lot better.
The Pirate Bay is crap. Demonoid is far better.
You're a cock.

You need to stop posting.
We're talking about Etoile, not OS X. You fail. Try to read the article next time, slashbot.
And what the fuck is with the backwards scrollbars? Did the 'designer' take a blow to the head?
Rubbish. This is as disposable as it looks.
Haha, so true.
...John Woo's Stranglehold On Action.
And I thought: "That's right."
lawl me
"Not", "like" and "did" also have two syllables each.
f-ive. Two discernable syllables. Think about how many audible consonants there are.
The word five has two syllables.
Slashdot. Where I come to feel smart.
You're a moron and I have karma to burn. Together at last!
With my rover!
My domain only recently received an SPA line in it's settings, so that could have been a factor.
SPA hasn't helped much unfortunately.

They're useless, dirty, dishonest, thieving wankers.

"Fable II will feature incredibly boring storytelling and overwhelmingly cheesy acting, pushing the Molyneaux envelope even further!"
Trial accounts have NEVER been able to trade, and have always been capped at 20.

That's exactly the problem.
