Threaten someone's life when they're standing armed before you because they cannot find another decent way to earn a living ? Brilliant strategy.
Wow. So they break into a home, hold you at gun point and take your stuff because they can't find a job. Sure.
How about this. They are lazy and greedy scum who don't care about anyone but themselves. Yeah, I feel sorry for a criminal.
I'm glad I have a dog and a gun. My house has been broken into before. My dog, a Husky, heard the intruder and went after him. With this warning I get my shotgun and loaded it. I followed the sound of my dog barking down the street and saw her chasing the intruder. I called her name and she stopped chasing and came back.
After turning the lights on I noticed there was blood all over my house. After looking over Annie, my dog, I noticed there was blood around her mouth. I then knew she had got a hold of the intruder.
The same night the man was caught speeding to the hospital, with multiple bite wounds. A baseball bat, switchblade knife, and.45 hand gun were found in his car. I'm glad I was armed and had a dog.
That's great for you but I don't have a Gmail account yet. No one seems to like me. I laugh when I see people on message boards begging for an invite. Sad.
Oh BTW, if you have an extra invite could you give it to me.
(Hint: it's not a Democratic conspiracy against him.)
Take a look at this:

Bush won by 537 votes in Flordia. Nader got over 97,000 votes in Flordia. Don't tell me Democrats will do everything in their power to keep him on off the ballot.
Might I also say that Republicans have been "supporting" Nader and trying to keep him on the ballot.
"A time-delaying tactic associated with the Senate and used by a minority in an effort to delay, modify or defeat a bill or amendment that probably would pass if voted on directly. The most common method is to take advantage of the Senate's rules permitting unlimited debate."
The GOP used the same tactic against Clinton, but now it's the Dems who came up with this "crazy idea"?
This is the first time the filibuster has been used to block judicial appointments. The filibuster is used by the minority. During Clinton's second term, the Republicans were in the majority. No need to filibuster.
During Clinton's first term Democrats were the majority. I don't recall Republicans using a filibuster to block judicial nominations. I could be wrong. If someone could prove me wrong I would be glad to look at a source with the information.
You are probally just trolling. If what you said was true, you are an asshat. There is a small number of Linux users that for some reason do not want to help anyone. They are 133t and want to keep this status. They fear Linux will catch on and the average computer user will use it someday.
I have used Linux for two years now along with Windows. I had problems starting out. I used a lot of message boards for help and for the most part advanced Linux users were happy to help. I do remember one time someone was not so helpful. I was having problems with X Windows. I wanted to know how to change my refresh rate, resolution, etc. What appeared to be a helpful user told me to edit a configuration file and change a 5 to a 3. He then said to reboot your computer. To my surprise the computer came up with a command prompt. What did I do wrong?
I went to my Windows machine and looked at the forum again. I then realized this jackass was not here to help me. He had posted things like look at what I told this stupid noob to do. Sure I learned an important lesson but at what cost? I could have given up on Linux then but I didn't. I understood that most people were willing to help noobs. If you are scared that helping people makes you less 133t then don't pretend to help people. I wish I had mod points. I hope your karma goes to hell.
but all can be undone with 30 seconds and enough balls to open your case.
The average user wouldn't know where to start. Sure, you or I could open the case and reset the CMOS but would you really consider doing that at work? My job is more important than listening to music or taking data home. Security, physical and electronic, are not foolproof. Any system has a weakness.
I just turned 21 and live in the dorms. (I can't cook and fast food is too expensive.) In my state I am now legally able to drink. All the dorms on campus do not allow any sudents to drink or smoke even if they are of legal age. I personally have no problem with this. I decided to live here.
The University has the right to regulate your behavior to a certain extent. When you have thousands of students living in quarters you must have rules. This includes more than music should not be heard from two rooms away.
Nobody wants to talk about the real issues anyway.
Thank you!!! I could not agree with you more. Both sides use facts to support their claim of being correct. Examples:
Bush lied about the existance of WMD's in Iraq.
Saddam had WMD's. We know this to be fact. We gave WMD's to him. He used them. Thousands of people died. Now as a citizen I must ask what happened to the weapons? Mustard Gas and Anthrax don't just get up and walk away. If he destroyed them why didn't he show evidence? No one has stepped forward with proof to suggest they were destroyed.
People who hate Bush will say he lied but the truth is Bush made the decision based on the information he was given.
Another example:
John Kerry lied about his record in Vietnam.
I love this one. First off, how can you say he lied unless you were there. Second, he did not support the Vietnam War before he entered the service but he still went. He risked his life for a cause he didn't support. I find that heroic and something I probally could not do. I don't care what he did after the war.
Those who question John Kerry's war record have nothing better to do. Get over it and stick to the issues.
The Michael Moores of the world on both sides do not tolerate any point of view other than their own. The tunnel vision crowd on both sides are all asshats, plain and simple. If you are still reading this you are not an asshat. You have the intelligence and wisdom to read something even if you don't totally agree with it. Michael Moore would have stopped reading at John Kerry lied about his record. I thank you for being an independent thinker.
I don't believe any network will take the risk of broadcasting this movie in the fear of pissing off 50% of the audience. Sponsors will pull out advertising on the same fear. There is nothing wrong with this fear. In fact I support it. Companies shouldn't be forced to support something that will cause them to lose some business.
There is a distinct difference between privacy and personal rights.
The government creates laws that protects you, the citizen, from the law creating body. These are your personal rights as a citizen of the US.
Privacy is a seperate issue. In public you should never expect any privacy. What I mean by this statement is that you are watched in public. The government can use cameras to watch you at a courthouse or a school. A business can watch you on camera or keep track of what you buy in a database. At home you expect more privacy. When I am in public I always assume someone is watching me. It may sound paranoid but it is probally the truth.
of Microsoft's products in China and other Asian countries is well above the rest of the world. This isn't totally bad for Microsoft however. If people, as they have in the US, become reliant on Windows/Office, the future can only be good for Microsoft. Better copy protection, registration, web applications, etc. could force users to purchase upgrades. If I were Microsoft I would be giving my product away to these industrial developing nations.
They did have proper ID because they were in the country legally. This is a whole issue, student visas, etc.
What if an ID was not required? How would we know who was on the plane when it crashed? Would we know who the hijackers were? I can not understand how the EFF could argue against this. I get checked for ID at Wal-Mart when I buy music. Riding on a airplane is much more serious than buying music.
I believe the law should be out in the open. In this case like many others the government is being an asshat.
Privacy has never existed. As long as you live in a society you should never expect total privacy. In public you should never expect any privacy. On an airplane there should be NO PRIVACY. (Except in the little bathrooms) There should be background checks done on everyone who flies. We should model our security around that used by Israel. You can read more about it here:
I am dutch and can smoke whatever I want. Does this mean the subpoena's will start showing up at my doorstep?
No a subpeana will not show up at your doorstep unless you send the grass to the US. Before entering the US you would be searched for illegal items, right. If they found pot on you at O'Hare International Airport you would be in trouble with US law. Now let's say that you don't even come to the US. You have never been here but you send the pot via Fed Ex to the United States. You would still be in violation of US law.
This last example is exactly what happened. Packets of data where sent to MIT from Australia. If the data had stayed within Australia there would be no case for extradition.
Is this a new form of colonialism?
This story is talking about one person. If you want true colonialism perhaps you should recall this:
Do you have any idea what tuition is up to these days?
To hell with the industry lapdog known as Napster; the only reason the schools purchase it for their students is to get a reprieve from the flood of lawsuits.
Perhaps using Napster is saving the taxpayers money. If the RIAA really wanted to go after educational institutions they could. Let's say that 40% of college students use P2P software to "trade" music. (I just made this figure up based upon my current occupation of college student) Do you realize how many lawsuits that would be?
I do have a problem with the tactics of the RIAA however using P2P to "share" copywrighted works is illegal. It's not a fair use issue. You are sharing with people you do not know.
(Plus P2P traffic at my University uses all of the available bandwidth. So much for reliable online research, online gaming, etc.)

There is a mistake in your argument. A contraceptive is used during sex. It should read as follows:
Video games are the best way to not get laid.
