They cannot distribute the binary version of XBMC for the XBOX because it requires the XDK (XBOX Development Kit) which was only distributed to certain folks by MS. By distributing a binary version built to run on an XBOX it would run afoul of MS license agreements, etc.
There are other avenues of acquring a prebuilt binary and/or XDK.
Having said that...I LOVE XBMC. It's why I have an XBOX to begin with. Running it on a PC (with your choice of host OS) would add the two missing features needed to make it complete: HD and DVR.
TFA doesn't say the word "tone" unfortunately and there is a difference. My son was born with Hypotonia which is low muscle tone. When I read the summary I got a little excited thinking this could help him out going forward.
Basically the tone of the muscle is the elasticity of the muscle (this is from memory when the Dr.'s were explaining this to us after he had been diagnosed). It has little to nothing to do with strength and, due to his condition, makes him more prone to hernias and similar problems (he was born with a hernia which was hidden by a communicating hydrocele).
Those with low muscle tone are more flexible (so add that to your GF requirement list:)). My son can touch his shin bone with the top of his foot (try it) as well as do complete splits, etc.
We had to get him orthotics to help his ankles support his weight as he grew. This, fortunately (for him...not for us parental units), has NOT slowed him down. He's currently five and very active...loves to be outdoors and catch bugs...but I digress.
I would agree except when they "write that crap off" that means that all taxpayers are picking up the pieces. If they are allowed to do such a thing then they still have little/no incentive to fix the problem.
Actually...the company I work for puts a clause in the contract signed with third parties that states the third party will provide any additional licenses required but not disclosed at the time of signing and we will do the same (we write all our own code so that doesn't happen on our end really).
I'm sure Sony has something similar in their contract...but being as they are a music company first (this division) then maybe not.
Seriously, where does this idea that users are entitled to something come from.
They are "entitled" by the fact that if you don't make the change to cater to them then they will find someone else who will. This may mean your particular project dies because everyone is ditching it for another, similar project because they have that feature...or it could be a very small minority that you can safely ignore.
Other than that they aren't entitled in the least.
In PA we have state sponsored Cyber Charter schools. It's public school, and we have a teacher we work with/through. All the stuff needed for the entire year is shipped to us "free" and a computer (per child enrolled) and internet access (reimbursement of $17.95 per child enrolled) are provided "free" as well.
My kids are very young (oldest of three is just now in first grade...others not yet in school) so we haven't had all that much experience with it. The experience we have had has been excellent.
It doesn't hurt to have a wife who has an Elementary Education degree either, but any dedicated parent should be able to do this without much problem (at least for younger grades).
Hopefully more states will follow PA's example and "sponsor" Cyberschooling for kids...it's money well spent IMHO.
According to the AC who posted higher up in this thread you must be a racist because you used words like "they", "their" and "our", "ours" to draw a distinction between the cultures/races.
I was going to respond to that AC but I think you proved the point much better than I could that there is a distinction and it's not racist to point it out.
So, AC (who posted higher up), get over your PC piety.
If anything they should be THANKING Google for making it easy for them to find the real infringers of their copyright. They can pop in a few search terms and have a whole list of folks they can sue/send C&D orders to...but I'm sure none of them have the cash that Google has nor would it provide them this kind of publicity.
Exposing kids to everything allows them to become well-rounded adults who are aware of everything.
You could have omitted the fact that you don't have kids from your post and, by that statement, those of us with kids would have known instantly you aren't a parent.
Read my comment here for a little further explantation of what I meant. If we could get that done then I don't think what you are saying would ever be a problem.
Of course...that requires citizens to pay attention to what is going on...may never happen.
Actually, there is another way...but it's a lot harder to get to than keeping the SC stacked.
We need to restore State's rights. States are currently "hamstrung" by the feds because the feds have the money and money=power. The income tax is an illegal direct tax (except that the feds SAY it's not a direct tax...so it's not direct by definition even though it is). The feds dangle the money out there and the states jump through hoops to get it. These hoops are usually along the lines of "the legal blood-alcohol limit in your state should be 0.8. You can make it higher, but if you do we won't give you money for roads."
The money the feds have rightly belongs to the citizens of the states. If the states want to tax the citizens then then can. The states should then forward cash to the feds, based on population, to support the military and other stuff. That way if the state I live in legalizes abortion and I don't like abortion (I don't) then I can move to a state where abortion is illegal. Citizens can vote with their feet...and where their feet are their money goes.
The federal income tax is at the root of the problems in our country IMO. It needs abolished.
Control should be from the bottom, up...not the top, down. Citizens elect local and state officials. State governments should go back to appointing Sentators and the citizens get represented by the House folks we directly elect. Since we elect the state goverment officials we indirectly control who the senators are anyway and are ultimately in control.
I agree...and I would add it's the job of the legislature to enumerate laws to counteract invalid interpretations of the law by the SC such as the eminent domain ruling (which congress is already I am pretty sure).
go figure out what percentage of the population are represented by Republicans and Democrats in the senate.
Precisely why the senators should go back to being appointed by the state governments to represent them. We the people have the House of Representatives to, wait for it...represent us. How many we get depends on the population of the state.

I would download/watch an officially sponsored BT of a show that included ads in it (as long as there wasn't any DRM that keeps me from doing anything I could normally do had I recorded it on TiVo). Since the advent of TiVo I don't watch shows when they are broadcast (for sports I wait about an hour into it so I can skip the ads. I do watch some that catch my eye while FFing).
I'm sure I'm not the only one that would do this. There is a market. The ad revenue could be combined with the dvd sales revenue to be enough to encourage more production.
By that point in the article (page 3) they had already decribed how the "sweating" process takes place.
From TFA (page 2): "A wooden structure that Craven calls the skytower holds what resembles a radiator of sweating PVC pipes dripping steadily into a tub, providing freshwater for drinking, washing, and irrigation."

We will know soon enough.
I had the bots added to my Trillian this morning when I logged in. Using Trillian Basic 3.1.

Nice one...had me laughing. It is amazing how people really don't get it.
He'll do great until he hits 11 or 12, i.e. puberty.
Actually...at the rate he's going he will probably finish college before he reaches age 11.
Kinda shoots down the "intelligent design" theory too, unless you can accept that God is an amateur at this stuff.
:)
Unless God put that stuff there to keep you guessing.

His point is correct either way. Even more so if there isn't a God. No designer=anything goes morality-wise.
First sentence in TFA:
The Recording Industry Ass. of America has acknowledged that P2P file-sharing is less of a threat to music sales than bootleg CDs.
Anyone think this is on purpose?

I would add Defender to the list. There was another game like Defender that was really good but I can't remember the name of it.
Tempest was one of the greatest.
