I guess this is why Longhorn keeps on slipping. Maybe they should let a little code slip through so as not to jeopardize the Duke Nukem Forever bundling agreement.
Taking that number and assume somewhat steady over 17 years they must have around 50.000 in total, so they opened up 1%. This is not insignificant in my wiev
Why haven't open source ERP packages, like compiere (http://www.compiere.org/), taken off???
One reason is that until very recently you needed Oracle DB to run Compiere. There is a slew of new FOOS DB's in the works for Compiere most interesting it Fyracle the Oracle Mode Firebird
I just tried 3 titles from my wish list at Amazon comparing prices found at Bookfinder.
Two were 50% more expensive for Used version and one about the same.
So why should I care about Amazon's share of the sales if it provides me a better overall price in addition to dealing with a known entity?
By the way having a long Wish List at Amazon and checking Usd Prices from time to time is an excellent way of getting good deals. New books drops to 1/3 or so often less than two mothn after release.
Creatine does not strengthen the synaptic connections per se. What Creatine does is allow the cell to quicker regenerate ATP and thereby increase its ability to produce the needed neuro transmitters for a longer period. Kind of like a mental Powerbar
What's your point, That he retained ability into fairly old age or what? I read The Man who loved only numbers but curious if you have a different point.
what open source really needs is a marketing plan.
You seems to misunderstand the "purpose" of open source.
It's to allow Freedom for the people that wants it, and create the best SW possible. A marketing plan is somewhat counter to the movement as a plan per se will impose constrains on the development process.
Marketing plans are for companies lik RH, Mandrake and the like not for the FOSS as a movement.
Lastly the superiou development method will win in the end. There is just so many transatlantic boat tickets you can sell in the age of aviation.
As a matter of fact I think the bigger story is the Eclipse support for development.
In the battle against Microsoft the fact that everyone and his mother is moving to Eclipse is not mentioned often. Yesterday there was a story that TI is jumping on the bandwagon for SC development.
Eclipse runs on ALL platforms.
The main thing IBM is getting is freedom from Microsoft. As long as they had the PC line they couldn't totally piss off MS as they could raise the price on Windows to the Normal level. (MS have done this once)
This would give them a $50-75 cost disadvantage versus everyone else.
Now they can support Linux 100% and leverage the Power / grid architecture into other areas. Incl. making reference designs available to OEMs

I wouldn't be surprised if somehow the MS spyware removal tool fails to fix anything Moz related.
It's a no brainer. The Internet proper

I do not recall the drug use being mentioned in Man who lowed only numbers but it is a few years since I read it.

Very pertinent announcememt from this morning
and our church It will probably bork due to the content
The idea is to get a useful DB interface that can be used with the Java DB provided or you can use other DBs as you wish.
Keep on chasing MS is a mistake. It's time to start faulting MS for not supporting the XML office standard not play to their tune
Why is anyone taking this seriously?
Try the reverse?
Strangely it looks like Elbrus finally succeded maybe not that way they intended. but ... ;-)
What about the $200B we are pissing away in Iraq? Makes you feel good?
