If you mean renting like a person with a mortgage on their house is renting it from the bank, I agree with the premise but object to the notion that Apple can do anything and you cannot complain. Neither the bank nor the builder can change the locks on your house or make it uninhabitable.
If you mean renting like if you rented a rental car, i think you are being a bit silly but even if there is merit, you are still looking at a failure to reasonably fulfill a contract. So you can still complain.
I don't think he is complaining about benchmarks but about not being able to derive the point from the article or the benchmarks.
I too suffer the same ignorance as i wasn't aware that there was an issue needing fixed or why this fix seems to be address it. Anyone have a idiots guide to the back story on this?
My original intent was something else. I forget that there is an international as well as a younger crowd here. The used to be these commercials and infomercials on TV in the US for the Hair club for men. It is a group that deals with going bald.
Anyways, at the end of the commercial they showed the narrator who has a full and healthy head of hair who then introduces himself as the president of the club. He goes on to say he is not only the president but a member too.
I guess it just isn't funny if I have to explain it so I'll go with your interpretation. Thanks. You mad me feel old but you also made me laugh.
That is why this isn't a slander or libelous suit per se. They seem to be using the fair advertising and unfair competition laws. You can tell from the wording 'false, disparaging, and defamatory statements' and the accusation that bleeping computers is involved in marketing a competing product.
In this there is a little more room to criticize truthful or truthful like statements. Papa John's was sued over their slogan fresher or better ingredients back in the late 90s because they showed a pizza hut pizza next to theirs. They lost even though better is an opinion. The case was eventually overturned based on pizza hut not showing damages not because of the opinions.
If they already know that the company is doomed they are not losing anything by the law suit and stand to gain. All they have to do is create another company and sell off to show a loss then rebrand the software and and bragg about how they improved it as the separate company.
Not really. POW is a legal definition which is defined by treaty that they fall outside of. They could prove their status by either international advocates like amnesty international or the red cross which do have access to gitmo or with one of their annual tribunal hearings.
They are not just thrown in a hole and left to rot. That option was lost when the government lost the habeas corpus case and congress redefined due process for them.
Because they are not POWs. They are unlawful combatants which is legal wrangling to appease both US law and treaty. They already have won a habeas corpus ruling and do have some constitutional rights which is why they started the tribunal process.
I was thinking about this today for some reason. I came to the conclusion that wall Street backs Hillary because she was the original modern day wall street banker.
White Water was a land deal in which many people lost their savings on but Hillary came out pretty good. It was declared that she did nothing wrong so no charges were ever filled. Then she somehow made a mint from cattle futures but no one seems to be able to put how together. Fast forward to the financial collapse and we see similar things. Hillary is them, she was their mentor.
Sure we can be satisfied. All they have to do is give control to the user instead of making inane changes because they know better for us.
If no one was maintaining this feature, the proper thing to do would be disable on new installs, check settings on upgrades, and put a job posting out for someone to volunteer to maintain it. While they are at it, notify the users of the problem and stop pretending their shit don't stink.
And you have failed to read period. The reference to H.264 was nothing but an example illustrating you were not giving enough information. But if you look further down the page you will see the extension units reference. Here H.264 or any other codec can be implemented via plugins (most likely to direct show ).
My god, its like you lost your wallet and refuse to look under the couch where it actually is because you want to think it is somewhere else. If you don't understand what is on that page, say something. But either listen to the replies and look under the couch or go look somewhere else. A damn webcam has taken you for a ride that you feel the need to beg others for the answer. At least pretend to listen instead of acting like you know it all. The fucking webcam proves you don't.
If you scroll down to the lower description, it lists "storm codec " under player. Interestingly, the storm codec is a codec package and when 64 bit Windows became available, codecs had issues (the 32bit versions didn't play well in the 64bit version ).
I would give that a serious consideration. I think your usb error might be ancillary to this.
You better check the spec again idiot. UVC certainly does allow it to extended and incorporate different codecs. And yes, a driver to enable the extendable units is still within the spec - at least with MS operating systems.
It's funny, You come here crying that a cheap webcam kicked your ass and begging for help then pretend to know it all when someone offers assistance while you spout completely incorrect facts.
Here , read all of this carefully before shoveling another falsehood out of your trap.
It's almost as if you are saying the car doesn't start and when asked for details you insist it is red and other red cars start. Either way, it is likely a codec issue or you need a driver.
But first, the UVC version doesn't necessarily limit the use of H.264 or any other codec. The class extension can enable the support and i picked the h.264 as an example not a diagnostic. It could be any native compression in the hardware and i will have very little clue without knowing manufacturer or model.
Now on to some more promising news. I did see mention of the storm codec in the player support section of several camers offered by this company. The storm codec is a codec package not a player so it almost screams to me install that. Just find a clean version without a bunch of crap with a downloader.
Now to the next step. A lot of these devices are basically rebranded with small changes and sometimes no changes at all. I saw a brand that looks similar to one of the excelvan models and it requires a driver. Now needing a driver doesn't mean it is not UVC standards compliant as you still can need a driver for the extension to the spec if implemented. Baring that, you can use graphedit, KsStudio, and USBEdit to see what is happening. Might be something as simple as a dodgy cable too. But in my experience, audio with no video tends to be codec related.
Your stuck on this being a UVC and not realizing the extendable format or codec requirements which could either require a driver or an SDK to be installed as well as a codec. Not knowing the brand and model is like saying my car won't drive and refusing to describe what it is actually doing because its on a road and cars drive on a road.
Why not spit the model and manufacture out? The answer might be something unique to that model. This could be something as simple as a codec package to support H.264 or some USB video class extension which would require vidcap.h so it would need either a driver from the manufacturer or the Windows SDK installed.
While your at it, check to see if the numbers within the number can actually make a prime. What I mean is 457 is a prime but 475 isn't. So could it be a matter of a digit being transposed?
Well - give them some more money. . I want one or more of these. I don't care if they go broke or the economy collapse. Just imagine the porn - err I mean possibilities.
No.. the goal posts weren't moved. You just need to hit the parent button a few times to see the exact context.
I'll save you the hassle and briefly explain it. The claim or question originally was "I agree with all you said above, but why then can't a bakery refuse to make a cake for a gay wedding?". This was in response to someone lamenting that Twitter is a private company and not subject to the first amendment or anything. More precisely " Free Speech merely means the government cannot imprison or bring up criminal charges for speech they do not like. Twitter is not a government organization, it is allowed to place whatever terms and conditions they want on the service"
The response to that was "simple, because when the baker got a business license". That is where I chimed in with the spew about freedom as long as you do not need to follow a law and deal with the government. This is where you chimed in.
I don't know. You could always put that question into a video and post it to YouTube asking people for their reaction and see what happens. You can even request that replies be tagged and titled with react somewhere in the title.
I suggest someone trademark/copyright the term "the fine bros effect" and grant a license to anyone who would otherwise want to use "react" in some sort of public commons license.
Let's treat this with the dignity it deserves and mock the piss out of them.
Nah.. I have a $25 co-pay for a doctor's visit. I don't pay more than $22 a month for blood pressure and sugar medicine. Right there is almost the $50 extra.
Yes, my food bill is considerably more than $50 a month. But then again, it would/could be $50 less if a $25 a month bill tripled. I could make it work though. I would just have to cut back on fresh fruits and veggies and get something in a box or something.
But let's look at rent. A poorer person in my area will pay between $400 and $600 a month for an apartment depending on how shity the neighborhood is. That is around 10% of their rent if it had to come from there.
But all this is moot to some degree. Your electric bill is not the only ones that will rise. Everyone's will increase which means that on top of this $50 hypothetical, the food bill will increase, the doctor bill will increase, your rent will likely increase because others will have to find the money to pay their bill and they need to cover costs plus profit if they want to stay in business.
Used to be that you could recover a trashed bios by renaming a boot rom and putting it on a floppy. Sometimes there was a few key combination to hold. It has been a while since I had to even mess with it though. That is likely out of the question now.
I'm surprised there isn't something default recover mode..rm just deletes stuff so it is still there should be a way to undelete. Also the boot sector used to be copied to another part of the hard drive. Is there something backup of the EUFI?
It's crazy. If your drive dies your computer is bricked to.

That's cute. I like it but..

I was going to bring that up too.
I guess the difference now is that they can go directly to a provider and demand information rather than try to catch a glimpse of it.
Yeah, it was overturned but only because pizza hut couldn't show that the claim cost them business.
Either way, it showcases how commercial speech can be treated differently when your competing with one another.

In fewer words, show the users some respect.
