Amazon followed the law and it worked out in their favor, good for them. If you don't like it, change the law or get good at understanding out you, too, can pay $0 in taxes.
I believe you have to add a serial number even if you manufacture the gun yourself. There is not database of serial numbers, so you can use something like "MYGUN01" as the serial number.....just need something to distinguish it from one gun from another.
This is another great idea from the California legislators, they need to keep up the good work. All of these new taxes, welfare programs and regulations are exactly what the people of California asked for and need.....to make other states look more attractive for businesses and people. Soon the whole state will be like one massive Detroit: corrupt, bankrupt and overwhelm with crime.
I was walking around Seattle last night and in front of a coffee shop with a âoeHelp Wantedâ sign was a guy begging for money....apparently he didnâ(TM)t need the money enough to just turn around and ask for work.
Companies like bit.ly just move the domain to the Cook Islands' commercial TLD and rename the company to something like "big" or "fat". In case you didn't already know or didn't want to look, the tld would be.co.ck (ie big.co.ck). They could also protest Libya by registering libyasucks in the same TLD.
Verizon charges "corporate" customers an extra $15/mo to access "corporate" (aka Exchange) email. This is true with all of their smartphones and is similar in pricing to what ATT & Sprint charge. Personal accounts can access Exchange w/o any additional charges.
Just got a Zune HD and the built-in support for 3rd party apps is pretty slow, it takes several seconds to load each of the handful of apps they have in the Zune app store.
Mouse, keyboard, joystick, computers, carrying cases, xbox, etc....are these not considered machines? At some level they're consuming energy to performing a mechanical process.
I think there is a difference between altering something in order to change the context of the photo and enhancing the photograph. This is clearly a case of enhancing the photograph to correct the poor lighting and to remove the junk in the background. I think the AP has gone overboard by calling this "altered". If the original photo had her standing in front of a Nazi flag and they changed it to be a US flag, then that would be a different story.

What if the plastic used in the 3D printer was all made in China?

If I was dumb enough to buy it, first thing I would do would be to take it to the Apple Store and ask them how to launch iPhoto on it.
Queue the Apple and Google circle jerk.
They're the exact same price as every other smartphone. But I agree, they should try to undercut the competition.
I know several people and all of the surrounding stores were sold out in a few minutes after going on sale.
The BSOD thing is kind of old man....and your phone won't BSOD or any variation of it.
...when you get to the past, call me and I'll tell you how to get back!

**sarcasm** Don't see why not, they did such a good job with TechTV.

An online store that sells music, movies, games, etc....sounds like XBox Live.
Makes sense to me since you can get around most content filters with Google's cache.
No, he is at fault for the mistake....at least that's what I'm going to put in our bug tracking system at work.
Just have an App Store where the user can download and install non-essential applications.

Fuel prices then were out of control with California being forced to pay $1.13/gal.
Actually it just shows how little experience he has.
We should have listened to him when he explained that if the captain pushed the engines too hard they'll blow apart.
