I know for BTTF part 1, he was working on Family Ties during the day and then shooting BTTF at night. Its all in the documentary on the dvds, very interesting to watch.
Also the directors commentary is very interesting to listen to on BTTF part 1, as they don't do the standard 'we will talk about the scene thats on the screen' they just talk about the entire movie.
Another great feature are the popups, they come up on the screen every few seconds with an 'interesting fact' can get kind of annoying though, so make sure their disabled if you really want to watch the film.
Also note, I have the region 4 version, but i think the region 1 is the same, but with more extras ? (besides the obvious fact one is PAL and the other is NTSC) All the transfers seemed fine to me, its been out here since october.

The I hear runours that it's showing in other cities in Australia, but still not Sydney. What's the story? It's even been taken off the Channel 9 web site, which makes it even harder to work out what is happening
In Queensland we havent seen anymore since the original season was aired. Very frustrating, having a quality sci-fi show made in your own backyard (figurativley speaking:) ) and they dont air it on free to air stations. Worse of all I cant get cable where I live...
I live in Aus too, and i must say your quite right. and DS9 and Voyager get taken on and off at whim (because tennis is *so* important!) I was very dissapointed with Farscape being taken off, I mean wasnt it partly Funded by Channel 9?
Cable is okay, although not digital, but its always the same here in Australia, its okay if you can get it. its not very widley available unless you live in a capital.
If you have a read through the xmms forums you will find that the xmms crew are going to start work on a new skin/theme format simmilar to Kjofol, but more powerful, this may be what youre after:)
TFC Purists? im a TF purist.. not a TFC purist, will i like it also? because i couldnt stand tfc, it seemed so cheap compared to the original, and looks half-done. something that feels like TF will win my vote..
i submitted the very same thing about 3-4 days ago but it was rejected, as some other stories were which i submitted only to be rejected and then i see on slashdot a few days later its always the way:)
Opera is being made for X11, but during development they produced a text only version as well, they stated that sometime they plan to release the text only version, but right now they are more interested in getting out the GUI version
Joe Waters of Aegistech, developers of one of the first commercial Linux titles (BFRIS), sent in the following situation report:
Greetings,
Just saw the note on linuxgames about UT not making it to the retail CD at GT's request... An interesting sort of side-note is that a different division of GT Interactive, GT Value Europe, *did* include Linux binaries of our game BFRIS on the retail CD in Europe as part of the "GT Select" line. BFRIS just began selling in Europe and we recently received a copy of the English/Italian/Spanish version, which does include linux binaries on the CD along with the win32 binaries. I know that BFRIS is also selling in Germany and Holland, but don't have details (yet) about where else in Europe it might be available on store shelves. Keep in mind that GT "main line" (which is distributing Unreal Tournament in the US) is a different division from GT Value Europe, but I thought it was interesting that GT Europe was apparently willing to tackle the support overhead.
That said, I can sympathize at least with GT's UT concerns: 90% of the support calls and emails for BFRIS are from linux customers -- this isn't a dig against linux users, but more due to the constantly changing nature of linux kernels, libraries, OpenGL standards, hardware driver development, etc. As we were doing all of our own support (and linux is the primary development platform) we can field the questions and it's not a big deal, but I'd hate to try to train a bunch of win32 people on how to answer the various linux-related support questions.
i did read somewhere, Linux Games dot com i think thatt he euro version was made with linux binaries, they mentioned gtvalue.com ill try track down the exact story and post it here..
its best to wait so that when other companies see the sales records for Quake 3: Arena for linux they are high, thus it will suggest the linux community want games like this and are willing to pay for them, also it gives them the excuse (financialy) to do this. It can be very annoying watching your friends fragging each other, but it will defintley help in the long run:)
Have you tried GTK SEE? its a clone of ACD SEE.. might be what you are looking for.. i cant remember the url goto freshmeat.net and do a search you will find it soon enough:)
The iron lung was the last episode (9) there will be another soon, really there will (*hopes*) im not going through withdrawl really im not... patients is a virtue...
