  1. Re:Looking forward to Socialized Higher Education on Outsourcing Evolving · · Score: 1

Throughout my entire life, I've had my surname misspelled by people. Even when I entered it into an online form which was then printed onto a shipping label, somehow an errant "p" crept in. Please, for my sake, be lazy and copy/paste from now on ...

P.S. I am from the UK.

The riddick game actually does this quite well. Without combat, there's no hud, in hand-to-hand there's an abstract health meter only, and when reloading a weapon it shows a count of remaining clips. Ammo readout is on the gun itself, there's no other hud.

Nail on the head. So many of the awful things we're stuck with today on the internet are because of design decisions made when resources were scarce, or problems were not envisioned - I've always said that the only way to fix it is to throw most of it away and start again. TCP, IP, all old and flawed.

That everyone equates FPS to multiplayer, or at least most of them do? 3 our of the 4 games in tfa seem to be MP-only, and most of the comments are about MP games. As someone on a sucky internet connection who also sucks at MP games, I vastly prefer games with a decent singleplayer campaign, like halo, halflife $whatever, quake 1,2,4, even plotless games like painkiller or the serious sams.
