Same reason he had to tell us he can't see the future multiple times when obviously the poster was asking about his opinion on the direction technology is heading. It's not like any person on the planet thinks he can actual see the future. If he could I doubt he'd spend all his time doing his insane preaching.
He's an asshole who uses language as a tool to feel superior.
Are you implying I'm not calm? I don't understand that last sentence...
If the doctor is not doing his job, perhaps the hospital should move to have his license to practice medicine revoked. That seems like the best way to solve this problem. If he truly does invasive medical procedures without cause he should be removed from the profession to protect us all.
If I recall the story the parents and her primary care physician disagreed with the hospital on her treatment (and her illness). The hospital decided the parents and the doctor were acting in a manner unsafe for the child and took her.
Personally a bunch of BS, the families own doctor selected the course of treatment, why should the hospital have the ability to override and steal a child?
A larger and larger majority of my windows servers are now running core or minimal. Almost all of my servers are now managed remotely via server manager or remote powershell.
Besides an occasional app server that requires the full gui why would you even have it installed? Server manager auto opens and provides the place to do basically everything anyways. If an app has it's own management tools, set them to autostart or pin them to the taskbar.
It will be interesting to see how that plays out. My car today is more computer than car. Sure I can get replacement parts, but who is going to be upgrading the communication system with new maps? Who will fix that ECU bug that the manufacturer missed before EOL?
The only way 3rd parties will be able to fix the computer components of my car is to replace them, just like the suggested solution to using windows xp...
We are a RHCE shop and look at all these happy clients who use Redhat, or the staff has X MCSE and MCSA holders and here's our list of happy people with windows servers.
It could inspire us to support companies that actually do recycling rather than dumping. It could inspire you to pay to recycle your phone rather than toss it in the trash. It could inspire you to push for consumer options that create less e-waste. It could inspire you to donate to a research project or start one to find a industrial use for e-waste.
It could even just be simply to inform you that people are suffering because of greed. News does not always need you to take action. Sometimes its purpose is just to inform.
Because AT&T, Comcast, Verizon, etc didn't get any government assistance to build their networks....http://voices.washingtonpost.com/posttech/2010/07/att_verizon_get_most_federal_a.html
As there is no technical reason not to, the FCC should allow cell phone usage on planes. Then the companies can make the decision if they want to allow cell phone use on their planes. This is called free market. In this way americans that want cell phones on planes can pick carriers who allow it, and those of us who do not can do the same.
I like windows 8, and surprisingly my complaint with 8.1 is the irremovable start button (I'm a keyboard guy). However I have yet to find a use for metro apps. None of them are useful or worth while and there are always better 'real' applications.
The only advantage to metro would be for simple small touch devices, a desktop/laptop is not that.
At my last job I had an envelope that contained "essential" accounts. These were root accounts, licensing accounts w/ vendors, and passwords for infrastructure that didn't allow for multiple users. This was locked in my desk. If I was to die (or when I quit) it was trivial for my boss to get this and give it to the person taking over my responsibilities.
My passwords however (AD, Unix systems, email, etc) were never given to him. Those are not his to have. They are his to change after I'm gone.
I'd go as high as 10 USD a month for HBO. But honestly the value of netflix at 8 USD a month is growing to a point where I'm not even sure on that. For 8 bucks a month I get tons of old content and a growing amount of really good original content. Where as netflix has tons of stuff for me to watch, HBO only has a few shows I'd really care about seeing. Maybe a Pay per show/season would be a better approach.
That plus their network being horribly hacked, plus the root kits they used to do on their CD's, plus every other horrible thing sony has done is enough reason to never buy anything with a sony label.

And then you create ultrafast lanes!
Wait, I just realized their is a test of this illness....
This should be pretty cut and dry then, perform the test, if she has the illness then she can go home...right?

Apparently I use facebook so little that it knows nothing about me except for I have 20 friends who I never talk to.
That's what I did, Ubiquiti wirelesss N AP and edgelite router. Total cost 170 bucks, rock solid.
NO, I actually wanted them to have the band there!

In which case he should have a warrent right?
That plus industry certifications.

Solid course material. Industry standard certs tied to the courses as finals, and fully accredited.

This is why I encrypt all my conversations and embed the message in the background noise of cat videos.
Great idea! Didn't google recently buy a robotics company??? Introducing the Google ED-209! Now with android support!
I highly recommend the Ubiquiti EdgeMax Router lite. It's 99 bucks and runs a variant of Vyatta. Great little product.

But those are not 'my' passwords.

We don't get $100 an hour, our companies bill us at $100-200 an hour.

I use Nexus Flashlight. It requires access to the camera, and the ability to keep your phone from going to sleep. Nothing else.
