    Yes, me too, I use it as a backup phone. The first cellphone with BT and GPRS, and the only one I know with movement/proximity sensor. A really state-of-the-art piece of thechnology for its day.

    :) I work in a mixed Windows-*NIX admins floor here, and I agree 100% you described us so well... the only thing I can add is that the Windows admins have the tendency to buy gadgets that don't work if you don't have windows installed.

    Also, last time I checked, many linux distros came on quite a few cds...let's see, Fedora comes on how many discs again? How about Suse? Mandrake? Even my beloved Slackware is two... Most of these distros also have a single DVD download available, so when was the last time you checked?

    ...are they justing benefiting from the fact that (thus far) their products are free?...or is everyone just happy that the aren't microsoft...? Both things, at least for me I'm happy to see that somebody can challenge M$, and most important, I think the google guys will care about Linux users when releasing some service.

    AMD is leading in x86 computing, but they don't have anything like Itanium or other architecture than x86 which has been dominant in the last 25 years... how many more years do you thing it's going to last?

    7% faster at startup wow ! that's what you call dramatic ? give me a break, Firefox or Opera are much faster than Mozilla, Mozilla is already old and obsolete, nobody cares about its add-in features like e-mail suite or im, if you want a browser: firefox and for e-mail and news there are TONS of better and also free software around.

    BASIC sucks, but still is a nice programming language for newbbies :) my first "computer" was a Sinclair 1500, and I know what you mean.
