True that. Take any point in space that "seems" empty. In reality, it's crammed with a hell lot of rays, waves, particles, and that's what WE know. If we could produce a device that converts all those waves into sound, we would be listening to a chaotic mess.
If by travelling at the speed of light you get anywhere instantly, then how come we assume that what we see in the skies is old news? I mean... I've read that the light from a star which is 10 light years far away from us will take 10 years to reach us.
That means that the image of the star we see in the sky is the one from ten years ago.
Wouldn't all this "travelling at the speed of light gets us anywhere instantaneously" debunk that?
In the mean time, I'm using my own community (see signature); but if Google makes something like Yahoo! Chat and MSN Messenger, maybe named "Google Messenger" and "Google Chat", that's it! I wouldn't get out of Google ever again (until they screw it like certain companies).
Slashdot banned my IP like 5-6 months ago, just because I posted a few comments which gained negative mods. I hope this one goes through, and please, don't mod me down... at least mod me funny or something.

Well, I'll guess I'll continue chatting in Paila Chat.
Personally I hope that the RIAA is successful in shutting down music file swapping.
You meant unauthorized music file swapping, I think.
There's plenty of (really good) music in the world, folks, not just the VH1 hits. Much of it are made by artists who want to share their creations at no cost (I'm one of them), and P2P is perfect for this task.
Or.... remember mp3.com? Not the new one, but the old one now renamed to GarageBand.com; damn I found there free, incredibly good music I still enjoy listening to.
I always found that quote very insightful, until they used it in the Spiderman movie. Now it sounds like if I heard "These pretzels are making me thirsty!". Damn media. X-D
This bothered me as well. Even "numbers with decimals" would have been much better.
Obligatory reference: http://khaaan.com/
Maybe the creature was filming the ROV and it will post it to SquidTube.

"They made it about a whole 2% larger. I feel ripped off by shit like that on the web."
Are we still talking about images here?
ratemyboobies, flashyourrack? I've been missing out. Thank you!
Then why does he claim it actually works? I guess he's tried it himself.

Great. You mean, we'll start receiving mails like "G1v3 Life To Old E/gg s"?
Badadum!
Thank you! I'll be here all night.
Shell is so powerful! I still remember when I made a war game with it 4-5 years ago! I would kill myself if I had to redo it from scratch nowadays!

I don't get it.
Which makes them smarter than Hottentot tribesmen
C'mon, man. That's a too broad conclusion.
Sure these guys are far smarter than crows in other areas. I bet they are smarter than you and me in their environment.

And yes, there is a huge lot of artists wanting to share. Go ahead and do a google search on MOD, S3M, IT and XM songs. Oh, the glorious days of trackers!!!

Congratulations... you just gave away your e-mail to the spammers... are you stress-testing the capabilities of your Gmail account?
The whole idea is crazy!

Oh, well, I know I'm no ObviousGuy.
I don't get it.
Oh, where is ObviousGuy when we need him?
I don't get it...

I for one welcome our new beowulf cluster of "I don't get it" joke quotes.
9.999.999 is a GNAA idiot. Here is 10.000.0001?
Congratulations, ObviousGuy for your 10Mth post!!
CowboyNeal should honor him by including you in a poll!!
Best quote ever?
The thing is that what you said has been said and counter-said and counter-counter-said millions of time before.
But what the heck.. this is slashdot, anyways.
With great power comes great responsibility.
