    It went Windows, Linux (around the time of Vista, for obvious reasons), OS X (work got me a new iMac, figured I might as well give it a chance), then back to Linux. I love Linux. Everything is open to the user to be configured as they wish... whether to make things faster and more efficient, or shoot themselves in the foot. I like that. (Ubuntu may be a little bit more like Windows now, which is why I moved to another distro.)

    But then, I'm a developer. I'm not exactly the most common type of user. Even at my workplace, we have maybe four Mac users, a Windows user, and myself with Linux. It all works out. Just use whatever works best with your workflow, and ignore the haters. I find that last bit is a good rule for life in general.

    I can echo this, MATE is awesome. Cinnamon is good too; it's like Unity but more configurable.

    Wouldn't the Supreme Court have to rule for this to apply? Couldn't the DHS just accept this ruling and not appeal, thus keeping the status quo because the border is a national issue and this hasn't been ruled upon by a body with national jurisdiction?

    Absolutely. I'm not defending them, I'm simply trying to understand their thinking.

    (Well, maybe with the exception of Clinton. I have a lot of respect for him. That doesn't change the fact that I doubt he could print something to the screen in BASIC.)

    My guess is that making coding look "cool" is their top priority, and so they avoid bringing out anyone who looks overly "geeky".

    Everybody tracks everything in the web development world. Analytics are key. Nobody should really be surprised by this any more.

    They don't care about you as a person, and the reports aren't on you personally, they're aggregate. Mostly, they're built and sent by the ad-CAPTCHA provider to the client(s) to prove that they're doing what they say they're doing.

    I believe the law should allow unlocking of one's cell phone regardless of contract status.

    I believe the law should allow the party of a contract, in which the other party has breached, to seek reparations and/or an early termination fee.

    These thoughts are not mutually exclusive.

    a few backyard hobbyists who really really really have issues with drones, and they will come up with an easy way to interfere/take over/destroy/ shoot down said drones
