If Bob Dylan and Neil Young play guitar and harmonica at the same time, they're considered brilliant. This guy programs a bunch of instruments to play on their own and he's considered a geek act.
Ok, so this will replace my cell phone, my gameboy, my MP3 playing Walkman, and maybe my PDA, that's great. But, if I have to carry extra battery packs, headphones, speakers, a screen magnifier for my tired eyes, and a bunch of disks to play games, music and applications, I may as well keep lugging everything around in a briefcase like I do now.
I really, really want ONE, (count 'em, 1) portable device.
Even with my big pants, there aren't enough belt loops for all this geek crap.
I'm going to have him issue an EULA with it. Then, if the RIAA trys to copy, publish, loan, or in any way make use of it, I'll let my lawyers have at 'em.
Now, if only he would admit that Microsoft is making too much money. Or perhaps Bill could say that MS has been unfair to consumers. THAT would be newsworthy.
Thieves won't need to steal your handset. They'll probably be able to do it via bluetooth or infrared. Your pocket will be picked and you won't feel a thing.
I bought a Wells American AStar in 1987. It has a big standard IBM AT case, and came with an 80286 @16mhz. I've upgraded the the guts many times over the years but I still have the original case, power supply and keyboard.
I also have an Amiga 1000 bought in 1985, but that doesn't get much use these days.
Now if I could only find that Pong game......

It's this kind of inovation that makes Microsoft aspire to produce a functional operating system.

Drug dealers will be replaced by textbook pushers. Just say no to libraries.
