opera doesn't have problems too. i browse with turned off plugins and enabled "open requested pop-up windows only". tryed click unicast ads at their site - just opens clean white window. and thats all. still looks like soon i will need to add few new entries to my/etc/hosts file:-)
last time i checked - winxp is not a real-time os. so keyboard with spaceship control panel and pc inside can't be with "...near-zero latency even under high processor loads". and while processor is highly loaded, latency is "low" but midi in/out starts to drop notes...
and some time later? when will be ready new hd-hd-hd-dvd standard? with banging 4000x3000? this happens right now - for example some anime from 80's was stored by studios on tapes. and now converted to dvd's they look awful. many studios just too lazy to transfer again directly from film. and new resolutions and compressions wont help here...
better just replace mpeg2 with mpeg4 on current dvds. much better quality and compression. divx capable dvd players are getting more and more popular. at least here in europe.
weird. my p2 350 with 128mb runs xp normally (of course turned off bunch of unneeded services and that teletubby theme)... win2k used too but dumped because of stupid acpi and digital cameras handling.
Firestarter - One firewall for your workstation, server or LAN. One of features - configures iptables. Small and simple. I'm using it on Mandrake 9.1. Works great.

mad skillz ;-) actually why so much ram? it's like gigasampler. big fat useless samples. no wonder why dual opteron. oh and winxp sits in ram too :-)

just what i thought. they are trying to prevent mass defection of win98 users to alternatives. smart move. just in time by 2006 longhorn will be out.
no to proprietary formats. no to drm. yes to ogg. yes to my music.
he can upgrade to Media Player Classic - plays more formats than m$ wimp :-)
that's impossible. and with win98 connected to network even more impossible. ah, you mean it was just running without loaded apps...
i use Open Office 1.1 own format. so argument falls down even further :-)
MLDonkey can connect to FastTrack too. Mainly being developed for Linux/Unix, but is also compiled and running on Windows and even MacOS X.
