i believe Cisco already has a VoIP phone for businesses. one office i worked in we had something like one of these. your phone acted like a normal phone. VoIP for internal. and converted to normal tele when you dialed an outside #.
yes one hit every 3 or 4 beats is really boring. but if you were a musical you would know that it is harder to consistantly play whole notes at 70 bpm then then to consistanly hit 1/8 notes at 70 bpm.
i give them props for creatively trying to teach kids not to steal music. but did they have to make it about stealing music? couldn't they just have made it about stealing in general? couldn't they educate about copyrights in general?
again i give them props but don't limit your scope to RIAA enlarge it to a bigger lesson.
actually D&D had a monster which was supposed to be impossible to ever kill. i believe it was called a Terraque (spelling might be wrong)
it had 300 hp and couldn't be killed until it was at -100 it regenerated 20 HP a round. and after all that you had to use a wish (which required the DM/GM to grant) to actually kill it. so maybe SoE will take a lesson from that and require that a GM be required to defeat the next "impossible" character. that way at least someone is responsible for it dying.
Side note: Anyone have a link to the Screen shot of the dead monster?
although i agree with you about youngsters and old people not being exempt from the law they sued a old women that didn't even have the possibility of doing what they said she did. it's like saying she stole from a department store she can prove she never even set foot in. As far the 12yr old girl. donno if she lied or not but she said she downloaded songs listened to them once and then thought they would automatically delete themselves plus she thought that she wasn't doing anything illegal. who's responsibilty is it to ensure that people know they are doing illegal acts? kazaa allows you to share files. is it there responsibility to ensure users don't share copyrighted materials? like windows kazaa should by default turn off sharing. yes it's anti open shared network blah blah blah but it protects the user. then they have to willingly understand that they are sharing information that could expose them to a lawsuit.
a movie costs $20 and last approx. 2-3 hours. a book depending on interest and speed 1week to 2 weeks for $7. a video game is $50 and most today end inside of 10 hours (metroid prime record is 90 minutes with 100% complete rate). i;m not saying 120 hours/game all i'm saying is if i'm wasting $50 on a game i don't want to be completed with it in a week.
short answer they are trying. long answer...
i worked on one military system that had to communicate to 13 other systems. now each one of those systems was built at a different time with a different OS/programming language. so it turns out no one wants to upgrade because they are all afraid it will break the system. like any other project after it's over the developers leave. so now the military either has to 1. train new programmers to change the old code or 2. create a new system. i believe they have choosen the 2nd by formally dropping the Force XXI Suite of tools in efforts to put people into the Future Combat Systems.
yeah now that game play is starting to return to games (metroid prime, kill switch) they are totally sacrificing game length. back in the 80s a game took you at least 2-3 times longer to beat as they do today.
is it to the point where protecting my identity is a terrorist threat yet? i would say move out of the country but to where? all i have to say is 13 more months of Bush. please vote for anybody but Bush please.

although i agree with you in pretty much all respects to XML. the reason i feel that MS is changing wverything to XML data vs non XML data is the fact there is nothing left to do but security patches, device drivers, and tuning the OS so it doesn't take 2 gig. so they need to add retarted requirements that will do nothing but slow performance selling faster processors and more memory. Everything for the user experience was in with windows 98.
lol. funny. i even previewed the page and re-read to make sure it made sense. it's supposed to say if you were a musician.
i yield my tin foil hat in props to you friend of friends
donno what school you went to but at the school i went to a large majority of the grad students were indian. so

they created a hype to get people to want it and now that people are expecting those features, they cut them and want to change the same price.
doesn't HP/compaq have a similiar Transmeta tablet with a better battery life?
the TC-1000 i think. man i got a demo unit of that 11 hour battery life from what i remember.
funny. wish i had mod points
but if we don't but CDs it just makes it easier for them to replace CDs with a more DRM limiting technology.

wouldn't they just enact a law stating that they are exempt? hence the problem here.
that is more like Unit 770-11-1234
