Frankly, I don't really care if you buy an iPod or not. And, I suspect Apple feels the same way. If you can't see the benefit of superior design and implementation it is a reflection on you, not on Apple.
Wake me when that "vendor neutral format" makes it's big splash.
Note to Ballmer: Last time I checked, there wasn't a lot of hardware piracy/theft going on. It's the software that these people want, numbnuts. Although I cannot fathom why anybody would want to use your CRAPTASTIC products, this point should be obvious. And, by employing a bit of deductive reasoning, one can conclude that YOU CHARGE TOO MUCH for it.
I already have my media center. It's called an iBook. It's got both USB and Firewire. It stores pictures, music and I can even watch movies on it and/or download video to it! Both the screen and hard drive are much larger than the Zen. And I can use it to remotely and wirelessly play it's stored music through my stereo system with AirPort Express. Come to think of it, I can even use it to create web sites with Macromedia Dreamweaver or make music with Propellerhead's Reason and GarageBand. I can e-mail my buds, buy stuff on eBay, make and edit movies with FinalCut Express, etc.
Somehow, idiot, you missed this sentence...
"Sucessful portable devices don't get in the way when they are not being AND are so simple to intereact with that one doesn't think about using them."
Obviously, this guy doesn't realize what a big fool he's made himself out to be. It's sad, really.
Get a life, nimrod!
Blah, blah, blah. Yeah, whatever!
Your assessment is dead-on. Unfortunately, I don't think it will sink in, because most people are idiots.
Cry me a river. The competition doesn't support iPod, either.
I'm sure Apple is listening to your admonitions. Now, go soak your head.

"Rasterman is trying some things that might finally get Hollywood to use a real desktop in the movies."
What do you mean? Like trying to get FinalCut Pro to run on it!
Windows can't even run a computer properly, how can it run my car?
True, but Mac OS X will only run on Apple hardware, not flimsy-assed Intel/AMD based crap.

"forces"? Hah! Obviously, the majority of purchasers don't see an FM tuner as essential.
Apparently, "more features" is not what most people want. Get a clue.
Apple didn't steal it. They licensed it.
De facto standards better? How? What a ridiculous statement. You must work for MS.
Because it is designed to be all-in-one. If you don't want "glued together", Apple offers the Power Mac G5. Let's get a clue, folks.

Yes, I agree with that statement.
Idiot.
The market says otherwise, at least as far as iTMS is concerned. Comparatively, logic dictates that Rhaposody must therefore suck!
You're full of it. Get your facts straight.
The mere fact you call it iTunes "crappy" completely obliterates any point you could possibly be trying to make.
What a horrendous interface! Talk about a half-assed attempt. I should be used to that with MS.
The only "poop" here is the stinkin' of the trolls.
