That's why you pipe the exhaust through the top of your car window. C02 will start displacing the lighter 02, which will still be available for the engine.
I am confused. I don't understand why you brought up ether, or why you thought that we have come back full circle to it. Nothing in the parent posts said anything along the lines of "EM cannot propagate though a vacuum". The OP was not saying that you need a particle to get EM through a vacuum, he was merely pointing out that EM propagation can be described through a particle model (under certain circumstances). In other words, the particle/wave duality you mentioned. I believe his ultimate point was to liken gravity to the EM duality and say that gravity is so weak that we cannot detect the wave nature yet (not that this is my position).
Ah, thanks for the correction -- I was mostly just applying a logical analysis to his initial assumptions (that vaccines are made from antibodies) and pointing out that the conclusion would be consistent with the quote. I really should have checked those initial assumptions myself... now I know, and knowing is half the battle. GO JOE!
Umm, it doesn't say that he was healed by a vaccine. It says he has something in his immune system which may help produce a vaccine. As you mentioned, vaccines are made from antibodies... if his immune system erradicated the HIV, then his blood has the antibodies they need to create a vaccine. I see no logical fault here.
Whatever, dude. Next time you're following me on the highway, you better be far back enough to let the nails that fall out of my truck to settle on the ground.
Just because he came out on top doesn't mean it wasn't a risky investment. How many other people have done something similar and lost their asses? "anotherwords", just because he's lucky doesn't mean he's smart.
No way -- you are not expected to be able to anticipate the trajectory of objects falling off another vehicle in the standard of "safe following distance". This is a particularly sore point for me, because I was hit by gravel falling off a truck I was passing in the other direction. By the time I got turned around, the truck was gone and I was left with expensive gashes in my paint and windshield.
Except that I said I have enough cash to pay my bill in full. That means I never pay for anything with a credit card that I don't already have the cash to cover. If someone steals my card, I have great legal recourse and wouldn't even have to pay the $50 legal max. As for the chances of catastrophe, you are right: that's why I have insurance. If I have a car accident, my insurance covers me. If I get laid off, I have my severance to cover my immediate expenses.
I also will preface this with I'm Not Sure I'm Right.
However, your outfit might have any number of reasons for requiring the signature to match regardless or whether is is required of them by law. Most likely, they want to protect themselves from fraud by being certain they do not accept stolen cards. This does not mean that VISA necessarily requires the signature for ID purposes. They may, I don't know, but just because one merchant uses it for these purposes does not mean that the card issuer does.
If you paying for cable/internet/games/eating out with a credit card then you can't afford them; stop buying them.
That's pure bullshit. I pay for EVERYTHING I can with my credit card. Including my $2 fast food purchase. Why? I have enough cash to pay my balance in full at the end of every month. On top of that, I get at least %1 cash back. That's an instant %1 discount on everything I buy. Some places I get up to %5 back. Since I've never missed a payment, my credit is awesome, and I've run enough money through those cards to have earned an awesome rebate each year. Why give people your hard earned cash up front when you can get a free 30-day float on the money?
What does credit score have to do with having X00,000$ sitting in a safe in your basement (an extremely "liquid" asset) ?
With a good credit score, you'll be able to take out a low-interest loan in order to FILL that safe in your basement. Otherwise all you have is a house (a very "frozen" asset).
Since "folding@home" uses distributed processing to put supercomputer tasks on the home computer, wouldn't running the program on a supercomputer just make it "folding"?
Letters, you mean. Letters. Oh how I once fought against the term "an email" to refer to a singl "electronic letter". I've come to accept it, but I refuse to let people start saying things like "I got a mail yesterday".
Yeah, the article didn't mention how much ram the crappy "office startup assistant" takes. I think the real comparison is this:
1) Boot into windows with all unneccessary services off. Load up excel. Check total memory use.
2) Boot into linux with all unneccessary services off. Load up calc. Check total memory use.
I think it should be Baron Von Kong
That's why you pipe the exhaust through the top of your car window. C02 will start displacing the lighter 02, which will still be available for the engine.
Um, can't you just kill yourself with the C02 then?

I think you are confused. Ether theory is still rejected. The dual wave/particle nature of light does not imply ether.

Awesome...

Here's your virtual money. 1 million trents. It's tied to the US dollar, but good luck getting anyone to exchange it for you.

Yeah I agree. DMB sucks. :-P
Not to sound trollish, but perhaps you should reconsider this marriage?

Or, as in the brilliant double translation: Meee nooo wantt!!!!
I'm gonna stick my balls in it!

Brilliant! That statement almost exactly makes sense.

It's looks pretty much the same, except it wears a coyboay hat.
