Koko is capable of saying that she misses Michael, her old boyfriend, that she loves her kitten, and that she wants to have a baby... She obviously isn't using proper grammar, but that's language IMO.
Though there are animals that can learn very basic linguistic abilities, though they are able to do many things that *look* like language, no chimpanzee, gorilla, or other (dolphins, etc) has ever been shown to actually use language.
I'm not sure which definition of language you're using -- spoken communication or communicating ideas and concepts through any means -- but Koko the gorilla is just one example of animals other than humans using language. You can easily find more by searching the Web.
Actually, there are two circumstances when I prefer to use IE:
When the computer I'm using doesn't have a lot of RAM. (In my experience, IE's footprint is about half the size of Firefox and Opera.)
When I want to print something. IE's printing Just Works(tm). Opera and Firefox are a pain (cutting off edges, not printing things that should print, printing things that shouldn't print, refusing to print just the selected part, etc.)
Download.com charges hundreds of dollars for program listings. Azureus would not have ended up on Download.com if someone hadn't paid to get it listed. Being able to add the spyware was their motivation.
AOL had live video streams of the presidential debates. You could not see them anywhere on the "plain" Internet. I didn't watch the presidential debates, but I'm sure that a lot of people would like to.
If you're into mainstream content, AOL does give you more than just the free stuff on the Internet. They have the clout to make deals with the mainstream content providers to offer this content.
Doesn't do anything for me personally, but there's some truth to what they claim.
In my area, the banks give you a "free" checking account on pretty lousy terms. "Free" checking means you get charged a fee for all but the basic services.
My friend has a bank account with a bank from a different area, which has really nice terms. Free checks, free ATM transactions regardless of whose ATM you use, and they even refund you fees other banks charge you!
Before the PATRIOT Act went into effect, I could easily open a bank account with a bank by just signing a form and providing my personal info. Now, I have to actually visit a bank branch in person. (It's about 1000 miles away.)
This is exactly why so much (taxpayer) money is spent on the advertisements that urge otherwise uncaring people to "Get out there and vote!" While the ads may seem neutral, they are not. A person who doesn't really care is much more likely to vote for one of the two major candidates (or just blindly vote down the party line.)
I'm using a slower computer (Pentium 200 MHz), and when I hover the link, "http://www.google.com/" appears on the status bar for a split-second, before being replaced with "http://www.microsoft.com/". It appears that IE is tracing down the document structure tree and setting the status bar twice.
In no way, shape, or form, was I trying to promote the Republican party. They do the same stuff while paying lip service to the small goverment crowd, which is even worse in my book.
There's a difference between ground-level ozone and the ozone layer. Ground-level ozone is actually bad, and we humans contribute to creating a lot of it.
The Earth does have a tremendous capacity to heal itself, but it is not infinite.
If you get cancer, when your own cells begin working against your body, you can die from it. Humans are currently in a phase where we are like a cancer on this planet, and we keep growing. If the growth continues, the earth's healing potential will eventually run out.
The FBI has confirmed links between OSCE, Osama bin Laden, Saddam Hussein, and the Axis of Evil. We must protect the Fatherland by deporting these infidels immediately!
If you want your site to be indexed well by everyone, use a freaking <title> tag!!! I run a site that attempts to auto-spider submitted links, and there are so many sites out there that have an article titled Man Saves Dog from Burning House but the page ends up being indexed as "Faraway County News Online" because they have the same title set for every page on their site. Also, now that many news sources require registration, a lot of articles are indexed as "Please Register" or something like that. (The news sources have a special rule set up so that Google can still index them.)
While Google has the resources to create custom title scrapers for every site, I've resorted to blacklisting their domains.
I used my Gmail account to sign up for the iPod pyramid, as well as a few other places, and have since been getting a lot of spam. The Gmail spam filter picks up about 90% of it.
However, it also picks up 2-3 mailing list messages every day. (I'm subscribed to debian-user, BugTraq, and some others.) It has yet to pick up a single personal message, but I don't get many of those in my Gmail box.
Overall, Gmail has the best spam filter I've seen that just works out of the box.
Foreign aid is fine and dandy as long as I have a say in who, what, where, when, and how is helped. This kind of foreign aid has been happening, and has been very effective, for hundreds of years; People donate money to a good cause, while other people volunteer their time and energy.
Once tax money is involved, several issues arise:
The taxpayer has virtually no say in how his earnings are spent.
The politicians are spending someone else's money, and without any accountability.
The best politically-connected countries get the most aid.
Politicians and diplomats use foreign aid as a bargaining chip when dealing with other countries.
If you're using survival as an excuse to commit illegal and/or immoral acts, then how are you any better than your former employer? They're doing the same exact thing -- just trying to make a buck while their conscience is asleep.
All I'm saying that it is pretty gutless to report them to the authorities as revenge for being fired. What was he waiting for while he was employed there? Oh wait, they were paying his salary.

Just as eBay is raising their fees while Overstock is getting into the auction business.
Actually, there are two circumstances when I prefer to use IE:
Products page. (I was going to cite examples, but it's easier to just link that page.)

How this happens:
(If you were spending someone else's earnings, you'd probably do the same thing.)

Not sure how this has affected eTradeBank.

A detail that's often either implied or just forgotten is this: A tenet of the democrats is to help the disadvantaged with other peoples' earnings.
Slashdot 2 years ago? (Before the alternate color schemes.)
So, what are microwave radiation levels being emitted from a setup like this?

Also, Mr. Badnarik may want to invest in proper <title> tags for his site.
