I wasn't implying something like this - I'm just saying what is like down here (disclaimer: no, no US; some people on/. have problems with getting the idea that "here" is relative to the poster...:/ )
Second guess is close.
Also, overall mentality, apart from corruption, is also important - not only because of "expensive things must be better", but also because of "expensive things that we get for free as a special offer must be better than the ones that are also free"(academics) - and then you have MS-centric admins running the whole country:/ (example: Opera or Mozilla at my faculty (social sciences...so they should know) is a big no; heck, I can't even convince admin to move his ass a little and get me free educational license for Opera)
Oh, and a thing in government/county/institutions offices: the more you can spend, the more important you are (to the exent: the more you spend/the more shiny your office looks, the more people will think you are imortant)
No trolling:>
The story's like this: I was too young to have opportunity to watch the films in the 80's (when they were repeteadly, year after year, screened during vacations; one of few Hollywood movies permitted by censorship - I guees beeing just a "fairytale" not in our universe, and also featuring revolution against imperialists, they were seen as OK). Later, when I wanted to see it...nothing. Not in cinemas, not on TV, nothing. The only way was renting of ubercrappy, 5 year old minimum, VHS tape.
Now there are DVD rentals...but I don't have a DVD and I won't have it for some time.:/ Yeah, and now you can also guess how wide-screen TV "issue" looks from my point of view...
Check your math. The average extra time is 6months & 7 weeks. Sheeps don't fuck all year long, as humans do. And also the problem in middle ages was lack of food - so people usually couldn't afford to kill animals right after birth, because it was usually wiser to let them grown a little, kill most of them at Autumn and have food to survive winter.
And one more thing (perhaps this one shouldn't be modded up to keep it under the radar a little)
I wonder if it's better to watch new, digitally enhanced 4,5,6 or the originals. The only problem with latter...I can't find them anywhere. Not even on the net. Well...I can, actually, but only in the form of DVDR ripped from LD. Care to message me (yeah, I'm in a place where MPIAA can kiss my ass...but I reckon you wouldn't like to post links) with 1cd xvid compressed versions? (128kbps download & 5GB of limit per month...)
...for shamelessly answering to unrelated first post to keep it up so more people will see and answer)
I haven't watched ANY of Star Wars yet. Not even one. Seriously. I know I reply to funny post, but this is serious.
So...what do you suggest, should I watch it this order: 4,5,6,1,2,3 or perhaps 1,2,3,4,5,6? (uhmm...4,5,6,3?:> )
Oh I disagree, on lower classes perhaps, but later...
But yeah, I like 2097 more too - but only with anolog controller - digitally controlled wipeout, especially on higher classes, is a misunderstanding (could it be why you see 2097 as so much relieing on racing skills?)
Uhmm...but your point is somewhat flawed...we were talking, I think, about internal situation. And yes, it's mostly about people IMO (besides, Sweden, Netherlands - they were superpowers at some point;P )
Bt as a sidenotr - it's really interesting that I would give as examples all scandinavian countries...plus maybe a two nearby (and two in other parts of the world...)

I definetely don'r see such problems with my Nokia 3510i (and I could compare it) Perhaps about durability it also comes from the fact where the phone was produced; mine was in Europe, but I've heard that Asian ones have substancially lower quality (do most phones in US come from Asia?)

I wonder if this joke is widely known in the world...
Alternative version of history: Americans and Russians landed on moon at about the same time. American start theirTV stunts and some research, while Russians get red paint and start painting moon. Americans ask Houston what to do about it. Reply soonafter: nothing, just wait. After the Russians are done, they fly off the moon and then Houston tells to Americans: "ok, new get the white paint and write "Coca-Cola""
No it doesn't. Simply because the situation in parent post - travelling at light speed - is impossible. So it's pointles arguing at what speed light hits you from behind while you travel at light speed at light speed (of course when you travel just a bit slover than light, what you've sid is true)
Perhaps, but why would you play Wipeout 2097, with its inferior (in relation to all later Wipeouts - this game was meant to be controlled in analogue fasion) digital steering on the PS2? Of course you could be one of small few who own NegCon (like me)...
Anyway, as long as I can launch ANY Wipeout, that works with NegCon, with instrumental version of Firestarter on the HiFi in background, I don't care;P
That's great, but considering that nearest Target, Wal-Mart, Toys 'R Us is something like 10000km from here, YOUR argument is kind of pointless. And yes, buying PSone here is already quite hard now (and noticed how I spoke about the future?), finding SNES is impossible other than used units in auctions/junk shops.

Especially in post Soviet countries, there's too much corruption for MS to not thrive...
Care to post links to these two sites?
True instructions, from the era, call for newborns. Who cares what some "hobbyist" today use?
What do you think about order of watchinf them if somebody didn't see any of them yet? (yep, possible in the world outside the US)
Your first sentence is not 100% clear to me...so what precisely do you suggest?
PS. Oh, and thanks for answers

Producing does take longer - MUCH longer. You don't tke into account from where the material was beeing obtained (freshly born lambs for vellum)

Yep - I was mostly joking. And our moderation points should be at least the other way around...oh well, it's /.
