Second guess is close. Also, overall mentality, apart from corruption, is also important - not only because of "expensive things must be better", but also because of "expensive things that we get for free as a special offer must be better than the ones that are also free"(academics) - and then you have MS-centric admins running the whole country :/ (example: Opera or Mozilla at my faculty (social sciences...so they should know) is a big no; heck, I can't even convince admin to move his ass a little and get me free educational license for Opera)

No trolling :> The story's like this: I was too young to have opportunity to watch the films in the 80's (when they were repeteadly, year after year, screened during vacations; one of few Hollywood movies permitted by censorship - I guees beeing just a "fairytale" not in our universe, and also featuring revolution against imperialists, they were seen as OK). Later, when I wanted to see it...nothing. Not in cinemas, not on TV, nothing. The only way was renting of ubercrappy, 5 year old minimum, VHS tape. Now there are DVD rentals...but I don't have a DVD and I won't have it for some time. :/ Yeah, and now you can also guess how wide-screen TV "issue" looks from my point of view...

Check your math. The average extra time is 6months & 7 weeks. Sheeps don't fuck all year long, as humans do. And also the problem in middle ages was lack of food - so people usually couldn't afford to kill animals right after birth, because it was usually wiser to let them grown a little, kill most of them at Autumn and have food to survive winter.

Care to message me (yeah, I'm in a place where MPIAA can kiss my ass...but I reckon you wouldn't like to post links) with 1cd xvid compressed versions? (128kbps download & 5GB of limit per month...)
