Is slashdot now deliberately trying for trolls... I mean really...there's bad, there's George Dubya, and then there's this post on /. BTW - while i'm here, it HAS to be Georgey boy for Gollum....he's the only one slimy enough!!

i find it rather amusing that i sit here 26 years old, and yet i feel like i'm aging daily! I keep reading all these articles on how the 'average gamer' is getting older... 3 years ago -- gamers are now pushing the 20 mark (wow thats old!) 2 years ago -- the average gamer is 22-25 1 year ago -- we were 30 and now i'm 35!!!!! And as for this hip-hop cr(ap)aze. A great way for a bunch of marketing exec's to prove they deserve their useless job. If you want to stop things like this from happening, wipe out marketing people! Do the world a favour, kill a marketer today. We don't want them, we don't need them, and until we can actually put them in the computer and blow them apart, the world will be a sad place.... i wonder if someone can explain where the other 9 years of my life went, i mean i know i wasted a lot of time on Doom but...

I have a number of jobs atm, and one of them involves a couple of shifts at a local service station. We now have to stand still for 8 hours in silence while serving customers. Simply as stated above, the RIAA and the artists want their little double dip. What's worse is they want $AU85 per month for the ability to play a radio at work!! Our company, owning over 1000 service stations decided to ban music instead. Now i ask anyone reading this, company owner or not, would u spend 85000 per month to let your employees listen to a song. This is a bureaucratic nightmare at its best. Somehow, someway, everyone in the world needs to take up this fight... As for CD's. I bought all the old artists i liked a while back, i listen to the radio/mp3radio, and my old cd's. Havent bought one now in over 5 years.

Is it just me, or are the titles to eps 1-3 better than the movies. I mean really, i was hanging out for ep1 to come out....and then JAR JAR F'IN BINKS came along.

Lucas had something going 20 years ago, why he can't leave it at that is beyond me. Look at bladerunner, cult classic, 20 years on loved by all, and there aren't 30+ sequels, prequels or interludes for it.
