I think you may be right - I have K-Lite installed, and Cydoor didn't come on my system either. I'm going to reinstlal Exeem WITH the Internet Explorer toolbar, and see if it goes on my system then.

But if it dosen't, it must be the K-Lite fake DLL that does the trick.

There are a *LOT* more linux servers out there than there are BSD, Windows and Mac OS X servers. When one factors in percentages, Linux really isn't *that* bad.

More Linux servers out there? Okay it depends what you're considering a "server". We're not just talkling web servers, we're talking database servers, file servers, Active directory servers, Exchange servers (for virtually every office in north america). I don't think you can say there are a lot more Linux servers than others.

  10. Jumpiness with USB/Optical mice? on A Glance At 24 Keyboards & Mice · · Score: 1

I've had weird experience with a couple USB mice that had optical tracking. The two that I used, once and a while (maybe once an hour) would seem to "jump" to the bottom-left corner of the screen, for no reason. Both my Logitech optical mouse and my Microsoft (wireless optical) mouse do this. They're both running the correct drivers. Has anyone else had this experience with optical/usb mice?

Since when has the US government had a problem breaking rules?

The UN did not find any weapons of mass destruction, and therefore voted against attacking Iraq... Bush did it anyway.

The US helped work and develop the Kyoto Treaty (the agreement to lower pollution internationally), however once Bush got into power, he scrapped it. (Some good info on that here)

For the last few years, there has been talk about building the "Missle Defense Shield" around the United States & Canada. This of course, would (and probably will) break the 1972 Anti-Ballistic Missile treaty.

If the United States can break a treaty at will, can it be trusted to respect others? Not to mention, can it hold others accountable if they break treaties that serve U.S. interests? For these reasons, I don't feel that the US government can be trusted to respect any kind of law/treaty that treats the moon, mars, and other celestial bodies as un-claimable. Any comments?

  12. First MP3 I ever heard on What Was the Very First MP3 You Downloaded? · · Score: 1

It had to be late 1997... I was in the library of my school with a bunch of friends.. one of them was on a PC and all of a sudden, Will Smith's "Men In Black" started playing from the speakers! I asked him what CD he was listening to... my surprise when the answer turned out to be that it was an MP3. And not only that, he also had this really funky-looking software called "WinAmp" that was playing it. From then on I was hooked. Back with my 28.8kbps modem I downloaded perhaps a dozen MP3s a day from FTPs. Nowadays, BitTorrent is my app of choice for getting albums.
