Especially when I can just rent the thing and rip it myself, or BUY it (and break the law by ripping a backupm uncase the disc ever got lost or stolen).
I don't even USE my CDs anymore. They are in cases stored at work. Everything is ripped to mp3 (yeah I know, lossy format, blah blah blag). One day there will be a relatively inexpensive device that will hold ALL my music and be completely portable. Right now I just use collected MP3 CDs with about 10 hours of music per disc.
Most Windows pirate are people who don't want to give M$ monet, but are too slackey to get into Linux. One reason Windoze and Office became so dominant is the complete lack of copy protection on M$ products for years and years.
Maybe this will help wean people away from M$ and help to further erode their market share.
That the fake story about Microsoft's nonexistant plans to sell crippled media hardware to computers might be confused with Microsoft's REAL plans to sell crippled media SOFTWARE.

there are less people interested in hearing her music. I don't know ANYYONE who would even bother downloading her latst music from P2P.
That's ok, she'll be a headlining Vegas act soon enough.
