Where do you get "2000 pixels per mm" exactly? I've got something 3D-printed right in front of me with 200 microns layers and I can only see the layers because of the light reflection.
2000 per mm means 0.0005 millimeters, which is insanely tiny as far as our eyes are concerned.
You are indeed not a graphics expert. People assume that display resolution is a strict relationship of pixels to GPU power, but *actually* from a non-mathematical, non-graphical viewpoint - it's more like a big array of wibbly wobbly... pixel-y shaded... stuff.
My list includes all the current Macs, so your old one doesn't count anymore. I'm sure the next upgrades will kill the user-accessible RAM for the last few models that do have it, except maybe the Mac Pro.
It's freakin food, why wouldn't you want tightly controlled quality?

At least your Tandy had that 3-voice synth IC, as opposed to those of us on EGA systems stuck with a crappy monophonic* speaker.
* yes, I know about digital audio via the PC speaker. But it took a lot of CPU to do that and it sounded like crap on top of a high-pitched whine.
I'm all for realistically looking anthropomorphic characters (Miqo'te), but your comment is leaning a bit too far on the furry cosplay side...
Are we really a long, long way from that? Let's not forget that only two decades ago, the top videogames looked like this.
Is it really that far-fetched to think that we're only a decade or two away from photorealist, stereoscopic 4K gaming with 120fps per display?
Windows XP didn't get retrofitted with this telemetry stuff. Neither did Windows 98SE.

Well my PC graphics are powered by an nVidia GT 630 so they're already more than on-par with them!

And then eight months later they can abandon the whole thing.
I see Oculus Rift vs HTC Vive more like nVidia vs ATI. I mean nVidia vs AMD.
Question: How do you write a strikethrough on Slashdot? Nothing seems to be working.
If they really wanted to hit huge numbers they wouldn't mess around with the installations of Windows 7 and Windows 8 users.
They'd offer the damn ISO to download for free to anyone.

Indeed. Sometimes it takes two fucking Pi boards and an Arduino!
Isn't Super C better than Contra?
Too bad they're releasing the square controller instead of the better, redesigned NES-039 controller.
Probably because the email address for the overlords is WeAreÉvil@slashdot.org
They already are chasing nothing!
Yeah! It's not like the guy fucking invented Linux or something!
That would be a lot better than a future newspaper with the headline "Kid killed on a construction site by a bulldozer".
Maybe my iPhone is too old, but what does iOS have to do with a Google account?
And is a Google account needed to play Pokémon Go?

Monkey see, monkey do.
