The frequency or flashing or whatever the word might be, can put you into a trance (for lack of a better word). Same thing can happen when you're driving along featureless landscape. It's kind of like hypoxia(sp). You don't know what's happening until it's too late.

Many jobs in tv are now "daily hire". It's very convienient for me, because there's no long term commitment, from me or the employer. I'm up front about my plans when I start up for the season, and it's all good. When I'm ready to bug out for the winter, I usually have something waiting for me in May. I've been very lucky, but my kind of work is relatively easy to find. If I don't get anything, well, then, I guess the gig is up, and I find that perfectly acceptable. I can't spend my time thinking about it. I just do what I can, and hope for the best. You won't find me crying to the gov't or anyone else to protect my job. I accept responsablity for my misfortunes. How about you?

Media distibuters will always be able to serve a niche market. The concept created in Hollywood of "artist as king" is now obsolete, and was probably created to entice artists to sign over their rights.

I think somebody did an animal experiment where they covered up the eyes since birth, so that part of the brain normally used for sight went on to do "other things". When they took the blinders off, the animal remained blind, because there was literally nothing "wired" to the eyes anymore. My point being that if you don't use your brain, it will get "flabby". You'll find yourself forgetting how to do things. Until you finish high school, you need to be well rounded in all aspects (of math in this case). When you start to specialize in a specific field, go nuts and use all the tools at your disposal.
