I have been an NDP voter for the last number of years, and I could not put it better myself. They are also the only party with a progressive copyright stance. Both the Liberals and the Conservatives are totally quiet on it, while trying to pass corporate media backed laws in the background. The NDP do seem to be tackling more "modern" topics than the other two parties, who seem stuck in the same old rut. I am sure it has something to do with the demographic of the NDP party likely being less than 40, while the other two are greater than 50.
I think bottom line the NDP are doing nothing wrong, though they need to prove their fiscal restraint to voters. The big thing as I see it is political modernization, and political reform. The current system is HEAVILY biased for Conservatives. Not only are all the ridings all messed up, but the weight each province has according to population is all skewed. Add to that the rural voters "count" more than urban voters (rural is all Conservative, Urban is Liberal/NDP mix), then that just isn't all that fair. On top of all that, the whole "First Past the Post" archaic political system is totally unfair to begin with (and undemocratic) and I believe we are either the LAST country or one of two that actually use that stupid system. The reason why things haven't changed is the two big parties are biased in that they gain power from it, so they do not want it to leave (or their supporters). All those things combined and you get a pretty undemocratic system, insofar as how much my vote is worth compared to someone Else's. Things will be slow to change until we have some political reform so I think it is likely the most important issue going (i.e. it will continue to be the Libs and the Cons playing their political games back and forth). Now consider how long we have had any sort of activity that would be remotely visible from space, pollution, radiation, radio, etc... what *maybe* 100 years, hell call it 200 just for fun.
Whats 200 years in geologic terms? a micro second? In terms of the age of the vast universe and travel? I would say a very very very small number. A number so small I wouldn't know what to call it, likely only expressible in mathematical terms. Then have coincidentally have a probe or what have you arrive just at that slice of time.
Even given faster than light travel and massive scanning ranges, stuff is just so big out there, and we are so fleeting that the two might coincide is remote to say the least. In the absence of faster than light anything, I would say it is impossible for all intents and purposes.

I have an iPhone GS. My provider is Bell. They have 4 data plans, 500MB, 1GB, 2GB, 4GB. I have the cheapest plan, 500MB for 25$. Keep in mind that WiFi is free. I have WiFi in my house. There are plenty of open unsecured WiFi all over the place. My actual usage over the last 3 months has been 58MB, 34MB, and 126MB. I generally try to download apps and youtube and the like when I have access to WiFi, thought not always. I use my phone for everything, and don't have a land line so it goes with me everywhere.
I seriously don't know how someone could use 1GB, let alone 2 or 4GB. Unlimited beyond that is just crazy.
The ONLY way I can think of someone using that much is by tethering it to their laptop, living in an area with no WiFi and/or using it as your primary internet connection. At that point your abusing it, and should be paying more. I pay for high speed internet access as well, and so should they. I have no doubt this is a direct result of people using the "Unlimited" term, tethering it to their laptop and using it as their primary internet connection. Basically they are just putting a stop to people trying to game or cheat the system.
