they will use the one with hyperthreading(it's on the p4 i do not know if it is on the pentuim-m) that way they can try to use there pr to trump amd saying "with hyperthreading you can have 4 cpus rather then 2"
but what should i expect from a site that has a static ad for bfg branded geforce cards on the left side. but it's nice to know my radeon 9800 pro can run this game if i somehow break down and decide to buy it. 4 person multiplayer? lol
actualy it does. if a game either 1. doesn't owe the comunity for hosting anything 2. have a very vocal comunity about wanting a linux version. then they will not be willing to make one cause winex will be doing it for them. by playing a game via winex or useing a windows only ap in wine all you are doing is telling the comapny to continue to make only a windows version, you are not telling them that you want a native linux version, the only way to do that is to be very vocal(like nwn) or show to the company that they owe the linux comunity(like epic and the unreal series)
esay. the unreal series has a linux port out of duty epic made one to thank the linux comunity for being their primary source of servers(about half last time i checked were run on linux). neverwinter nights was do to a very vocal comunity. and americas army is a form of army propaganda/recurtment tool so they made a linux version to reach all they can.
they all were made for other reason then winex, now your arguement might have merit if say, microsoft released a version of halo for linux, or ff11, or everquest, or serious sam.
this still allows companys to not port their products over to linux. it gives them a cheaper option, leting someone else deal with the problem of geting the program working under linux rather then doing it themselfs.
companys act like electricty when it comes to spending, they always go the route of least resistence(lowest cost). until wine/winex and the equivilent programs are stoped then linux has no hope of geting any native version of any hit game or program, unless it was coded for linux to begin with.
imho are just crutchs. they allow companys to say "sence they are doing it for us, why should we even bother to spend money to make a native version?" the only way to get a native version of the game is a letter/email writeing campaign. or nicely point out that linux has hosted the majority of servers for the game, it worked with epic and the unreal series.
imho this will hurt nintendo more then it will help, due to three things.
1.the mic being used as voice recognition.
2.the touch screen.
3.decent versions of both the voice recognition and the touch screen will put the ds far above the $99 most of there systems are now.
i use touch screens at work and they are far from being good enough for gameing, they repeatedly act like one touch = 3 or more. as for the voice recognition who wants to spend a half hour teaching the thing to get there voice to work on the game? Unfourcently those two items provide it with it's only advantage over the other handhelds, i don't count the dual screens because it will hurt gameplay more then the system. who wants to play a fps where your oponent knows exactly where you are? (look at the metroid screens)
i can't belive how many people are buying into tcpa/ngscb/etc to improve microsofts security. it is not the hardware thats the porblem, the poor codeing in the software is what allows buffer overflows to compromise a system not a hardware defect.
the main problem when it comes to heat is the case not the form factor. a simple change in case design can cure the heat problem. the new standerds can be intergrated into atx boards esaly by switching out the standered pci/agp slots with the new ones as well as a change in bios.(efi without the drm maybe?)
just stop running bit torrent when you finish the download.
might not be the niceset thing but it will stop the isp from disconnecting you and chargeing you fines.
i agree with you. the reason most people switch to linux is that they want to know and control what goes on in there system. haveing to rely on a third party that does not want to share there information like this to them is the same as still useing windows.
*falls over laughing.*
1. there is no shareware version of linux it is free in one form or another. granted there are some distros that do charge but they are the minority.
2.sence you have little experence in the linux enviroment(by your admision and by your post) you went worng by "configureing it from scratch"
3.if you 'configured it from scratch' you would of seen the kernel options for smp, ext3, and riserfs

if i am not mistaken bill gates has also givin alot less compared to others with his wealth.
yea i was almost sold untill i read that. i don't like it when i am not able to transfer files from the device to the pc.

available? maybe but cheap enough for joe blow to buy it? nope. 2007: welcome back to the day of $5,000 computers

maybe when the employees they just fired come back to kill them out of spite?
with my sk-7 and a smartcase fan 2 runing at full speed. infact my cpu's idle temp is the same as the average summers day here.
Itanium is intels chip. clawhammer/sledgehammer is amd's
last time i checked it doesn't have hardware compatablitly for 32 bit.

yup the first chip taken out of the dcma armor
i don't know. though i am not strong enough to throw one.
thats what i like to point out to apple fans. is that apple is a monoply on the ppc hardware and software market.
