Wow I'm glad I post with aliases, and on items unimportant to work. I.E. I'd don't post of the illegal stuff I don't do anyway, and if its a party for work or somesuch the boss would be invited anyway. Just to be curious I did a search on my aliases. So far only Slashdot came up in a google search (rather embarrasing considering they didn't link to the blogger blog I have). So at most people will know about my tech opinions. Whop dee do! Anyone who tries to hire me right away will know about my burning hatred for Windows and Apple Machintosh. Two ways of computing that have shafted me more than should be legal.

I also have a MySpace account. Horrible as hell to modify and I know HTML/CSS. Google's blogger templates are easier to create.

Um you should move to Nova Scotia then. We're slowly becomming global warming's bitch. I can remember snow banks that used to be 3 or 4 feet high and that was common during winter. Now we get that only when there is a blizzard and everyone panics.

Hell I went home once looked out across the bay and realized there was no ice in the water. Not a single pack. It used to freeze over enough to skate in some places. If that isn't bad enough my grandmother told me stories about how they used to move houses across the bay when she was younger. That doesn't happen now. Global warming false my ass!

Why copy protect the code? I'd only have a requirement of providing a GPG key to decrypt the content of the resource files every time the game runs. Or something along those lines. The code is free, but to use the material with the engine you must provide a key.

Sigh of course with the code available cracking the games is so much easier. (Not that it's hard right now).

Because this was released to the public immediately, will be fixed in a matter of hours and available for patching in the same amount of time. Also this is a LOCAL exploit meaning you have to gain physical access to the machine, or trick a linux user who is usually an informed user to run something with this exploit. Using this exploit is much harder than with M$ which left gaping holes open in the past.

I personally find it ironic that we can computer simulate the entire weather for a day using Chaos theory and powerful supercomputers about a WEEK after that day has happened.

Don't ask me to cite where I got that from I remember watching it on Discovery once.
