I've gotten stuck long enough (over an hour) to use a strategy guide a few times on each Monkey Island game. The danger is that the "threshhold" of frustration needed to use the guide lessens with each use.
I remember reading somewhere that the Muslims only killed the "pagans" for not converting. Jews and Christians were allowed to practice their religions but had to pay higher taxes, or something like that. This could have been from another time period though.
Just to look at all the possible explanations, could it also be that the higher up the person is, the less likely it is that they're carrying $1 bills in their pockets? Unless of course they're planning on visiting a strip club after (or during) work, in which case that obviously takes priority.
My father has a friend who's not exactly a rich fella, 100% blue collar and all that. He and his family once went to one of those apple orchards where you pick your own apples, and then drop money in the basket as you leave. Well after they came back they bragged about actually taking money from the basket on their way out.
Obviously I'm not saying that this family is a good representation of the "working class." Unscrupulous people show up in all walks of life. And I agree that the CEOs are probably more likely to be immoral. But you always have to be careful of generalizations.

Well I'm just the opposite. I'm a Windows guy all the way (for games, mostly), and have never touched a Mac since high school computer labs. And I happen to love these adds. My favorite type of comedy is a good roast, whether the guest of honor is a willing participant or not.
'But I have to say, thus far, proponents of Net neutrality regulation have not come to us to explain where the market is failing or what anticompetitive conduct we should challenge.'
Translation: "But I have to say, thus far, proponents of Net neutrality regulation have not come to us with bigger bribes than the opponents of Net neutrality regulation."
Seems strange to me as well, but remember, times-are-changing. What 50 years ago was considered a light punishment would be considered child abuse today.
Of course you wouldn't. Being paid to do something makes it work, while paying to do something makes it entertainment. Now I'll let you whitewash that fence over there for $5.
I'm not sure about what the odds really are, but are the odds in favor of your opponent having no pair AND no draw? It will take a pretty good bet to force out most players who've flopped an open-ended straight or flush draws.
The real question here is motivation. I'm sure there are lots of boring things seven year olds may forget (in some cases quite conveniently) that they were told to do. However, I also have a feeling that lots of seven year olds do not want to chance being abandoned by their parents in a place as big as a mall.

Quick question. How do we know this hacker wasn't planting the pictures on the computers?

Up until this point, anti-semitism as we know it did not exist.
Um, "Let my people go" ring any bells?

Jerk Jerk Revolution?
I think playing it using hq8x scaling would net a much better graphic quality.
There's a reason that 18 is the age of majority, and not 15, 16, or even 17.
Ah, the magical switch that flips when a kid turns 18, making him a responsible adult....
*shakes head* Child abuse?

I wouldn't watch that crap if you paid me.

Both are true Both are true: the military invented it and it came from monkeys. One on the same.
Don't make me go all Librarian on your ass!
Fine. I call dibs on the $1 million prize.
So you're saying the Asgard do the equivalent off "Scotty, I need a pen, please beam me one"?
Plus, why the hell should you waste time making clothing when you live in an advanced, totally climate controlled city or spacecraft?
Pockets.
Hey maybe it leeches off all that energy "lost" to entropy? (No, I have no idea what I'm talking about, but it sounds interesting anyway.)
Oh, I thought they were talking about the Asgard (shameless bastards).
You got me... I have never heard of that show before.
I know what you mean. God forbid there's a Sony CD in there maskerading as a bootleg!
They already do have that right.

You mean GNU Hurd would be out by now, don't you? Otherwise I'm not sure how Stallman's work could force any of the other Hurds out (of the closet?)

Reminds me of that story from India about the police being sent to confiscate some computers, and returning with just the monitors.
