    So you missed the end of Winter's Heart?! Wow. Go back and read the end if nothing else.

    Yeah, the end was awesome, but it should have been at least 3 chapters instead of just one. You're basically shown the opening moves of a bunch of fights, and then taken straight to the conclusion. Would've been nice to see what actually happened in at least a few of those...

    Right. Hell is a bit chilly, but hasn't frozen over until the source is actually released, and it's actually all of it, and under a tolerable license.

    What exactly do you mean by "tolerable license"? They're not planning to open source it (in the sense of allowing people to use it in their own products.)

    Are all these legit (i.e. legally licensed, etc)?

    I get most of my anime streaming from Hulu and the official Funimation site (which suffers from connection issues).

    BTW, I'm pretty sure Hulu has 480p.

    That's not true... the definition of the different classes of lasers is based on whether or not BLINKING will save you.

    How do you know you need to blink? IIRC there are no pain receptors inside the retina (which is why looking at a partial eclipse is so dangerous.)

    As I said, I have DSL right now. I was planning to switch to FIOS when they make it available in my area, but if what you're saying is true, I may reconsider that. On the other hand it's either that, or the evil Comcast, or stick with unreliable 768kb DSL....

    How exactly are they stopping, say, a LinkSys router with firewall from sitting behind the FIOS router? To the FIOS router, the LinkSys would be just another computer, right? It shouldn't know or care what's going on beyond that point. Right now I have the exact same setup with my DSL modem/router. Neither one are in bridge mode.

    Or are you just saying that the FIOS router cannot be put into bridge mode?

    Meanwhile Verizon FIOS has been rolling out firmware upgrade to their routers that prohibit you from running your own secure sub-net inside their routers.

    Huh? Does that mean if I get FIOS, I wouldn't be able to plug in a wireless router into whatever the FIOS modem is?

    Sure, just remember that when talking about evolution wheedling out the "harmful" mutation, harmful is in context of procreation only. Dying a slow and agonizing death once you're no longer mating material is just fine as far as evolution is concerned.

    So back to GGGP's comment of You idiot. More "harmful" mutations would get passed down less, because they are harmful to propagation., "harmful" is in the eye of the beholder. A mutation that caused the human race to slowly turn into cockroaches would probably be considered "beneficial", with the only disadvantage being that we wouldn't have a chance to spread out amongst the stars. But then, how likely is that anyway?
