Put the threat of jail time for even TRYING to hook up with the "Nigerean minister of finance" and we might take a bite outta crime.
Come on, everyone who's ever heard of the Nigerian scams knows for a fact that General Kabuto doesn't really want to give them $15 MILLION USD. The problem is the people who are truly ignorant. If they haven't heard of this scam, what makes you think they'll hear of this "threat"? What we need is a public service announcement during American Idol or something.
Why is it dishonest? Is it dishonest to claim an offered reward for returning lost property? The only fault with these people is ignorance about banking. I had no idea that banks could revoke money after the check has "cleared".
Not only that, how does going from ONE nagging wife to TWO nagging wives make for longevity??
No, the article has it all backward. Wives shorten your life, but through diminishing "returns." So a second wife will shorten your life, but won't shorten it twice as much as the first one did. Now the more women you marry at once, the less women there are to go around shortening other men's lives. It's these single guys who live longer, which explains the numbers.
But as I understand it, all the U.S. does is strap you to a chair, wrap cloth around your head, and pour water on it when you try to breathe. No board or dunking involved. So, it's more like water-chairing or water-clothing.
All right then, lets make things more "even" for you. If the "perceived" terrorist threat was in a Manhattan apartment complex, would it be OK to use precision-guided bombs to eliminate it?
What's experiencing if not a way to get information from the world in order to make decisions - with free will - about it?
Experiencing is just that, experiencing. Self-awareness. You can be perfectly aware of every decision you make, even if the decisions are predetermined and/or random.
Personally, I wonder how exactly people think photography was used by terrorists in the 9/11 incident. Did one of them photograph the World Trade Center so that they could find it from a plane?
I've always thought that Republicans going on Stewart's or Colbert's show was a complete waste of time, unless their aim was to be mocked mercilessly with no benefits whatsoever.
I don't know, I thought Mike Huckabee's appearances were gold. The guy showed a real sense of humor. I was really disappointed when I read about his little "10 commandments are the only laws we need" speech....
I'm pretty sure it's obvious to everyone. Just because we know he doesn't hold the views his character does, does not make these views any less ultra-conservative.
Ok then you agree that while the terrorists are guilty of premeditated murder, the air force is guilty of criminally negligent homicide and should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law whenever they bomb a suspected terrorist gathering spot in a residential area?
So basically, you think that deliberate slaughter of civilians is somehow morally equivalent to accidentally slaughtering civilians. So it fallows that you think manslaughter is just as bad as premeditated murder?
Let me know next time the FBI decides to bomb a Los Angeles apartment complex because they heard a mafia boss might be using one of the rooms as a hideout.
Maybe because Georgian president calls Bush his best friend?
"I looked the man in the eye. I found him to be very straight forward and trustworthy and we had a very good dialogue. I was able to get a sense of his soul. He's a man deeply committed to his country and the best interests of his country and I appreciate very much the frank dialogue and that's the beginning of a very constructive relationship." - Bush on Putin
Is this an annual announcement that is made here? Were there front page stories for his 73rd, 68th, or what about 86th?
Hmm, just how often does Slashdot report on news which happened before Slashdot was started?

I think he meant M.U.L.E, in which case I'd have to agree.

Seriously, I've seen the pictures. How can it be water boarding when there's no board?
We'll at least get Texas.

There should also be an effort made to ensure that the Police are in fact aware of what the laws are.
Yes, that's quite true. But from a privacy standpoint (specifically regarding photography), malls are considered public places.
What about from the "legal standpoint"? What does the law consider in this case?
Personally, I wonder how exactly people think photography was used by terrorists in the 9/11 incident. Did one of them photograph the World Trade Center so that they could find it from a plane?
'Cause they haven't taken your red stapler away yet?

Maybe I'm slow, but what's so offensive about "Your great country makes our Happy Meals possible."?
Oh, I think he gave Obama plenty of free passes when Clinton was still in the running. It was painfully obvious.

He, you still think organics will have a chance? How naive!
Well not official updates, just mods replacing the models with higher textured onces, etc. Check out X-Wing Alliance Upgrade.
X-Wing Alliance was pretty good, and has bunches of mods including graphic updates online.

you can prove the world round by logic
Really? I'd like to see you try. Remember, you gotta prove all the "givens" too.
