    As I mentioned, I would assume it requires as much force as is necessary to end the assault.

    So let's take one extreme scenario - someone is giving you a "purple nurple." You have a gun in your hand, but threats to shoot the guy aren't working. He has you in a headlock with one arm, and as you are a weakling there's absolutely nothing you can do to stop the assault short of actually shooting him. Are you justified if shooting to would? What if you know he's a bleeder?

    I just wait a couple years and get the GOTY edition for $20 or less. Usually most of the serious bugs are ironed out by then, and if the game is popular enough there are fan patches to fix the remaining ones.

    Running at resolutions beyond the HD rez, even on large screens, eliminate any sort of need for FSAA. At that point, you just don't get jaggies that need to be smoothed.

    You most definitely have jaggies without AA, even at high resolutions. It's especially noticeable on "thin" objects like grass/foliage, power lines, etc. The more fine detail in the scene, the more jaggies.

    What's wrong with checking for a "secure connection"?

    My computer is on the fritz so I have to use my roommate's. He doesn't believe in firewalls / AV, so it's always infected with all manner of trojans and keyloggers. That's why whenever I use his computer for online banking, I make sure the little SSL icon is there.

    Now if you excuse me, I have to call my bank - they keep losing my money for some reason....

    I agree, but did Hawking flat out state "there is no unified equation of everything", or just that "we might never develop a grand unified theory of everything"?

    Seems to me he was saying that "there is no way to tell what's real, only what we perceive about our universe, and it may be impossible to deduce the former from the latter."
