I'm pretty sure these schools are public universities as well. With that said, I read "questionable" as "conflict of interest". Maybe we should call the GAO.
Back in my cheating days I used Game Genie and beat it with 150%, although eventually I both lost the codes and learned about that thing called gameplay.
Steve Jobs has admitted that Apple is using iTunes to drive iPod sales and iTunes is making no profit
In comparison to iTunes and Napster, I'd prefer the EFF's option. It basically provides a selection from whatever is floating around the internet including less popular and ultra-obscure artists and labels. I also think that a second tier bandwidth price option is not unreasonable (provided that the price itself isn't ludicrus).
I think it costs somewhere between $.75 and $2.50 (but I may be way off) per transaction. This is where there is a $15 minimum for credid card purchases at the beer store.
PBR is an award winning recipe! Says so on the label. There are a lot of bars in the Philly area that serve in its 16oz canned glory for $3. Some places offer the 12oz can with a shot of Jim Bean for $3, and in some rare places you can find it in a bottle.
Another beer that has a bad rap is Schlitz. I guess because a case of beer is under $10, it has to taste like crap. Well, i could sell you a case of Schlitz for $20 if you really want me to. There are plenty of beers above the $16 mark that i absolutely deplore. I will refrain from listing them.
Square just happened to label their projects worked on by their lead designers as "Final Fantasy" sort of like a label for a particular kind of RPG that Square's people felt were representitive of their best work.
Two great games (among others) by square never recieved the "Final Fantasy" title: Rad Racer and Chrono Trigger. Albeit, Rad Racer predates Final Fantasy and was not an RPG (but it was their first "3D" game if you had the glasses).
Chrono Trigger, on the other hand was arguably the finest game made for the SNES. Yet, it was not called Final Fantasy: Chrono Trigger. True, it was later re-released for Playstation with FFII under the title: FF Chronicles.
Now onto that FFX comment...
*rant* I liked X a lot, but X-2 was really bad except for their fighting engine, which was exquisite. Luckily, I only rented it. I expected the game to take me >40 hours to complete without finding all the secrets, and it took me 20. The whole diva-based storyline made me gag. */rant*
Prior to Kepler, scientists believed their was a planet Vulcan that shared Earth's orbit but the two were 180 degrees apart. Vulcan had the same mass as Earth and without the planet, scientists couldn't fit Earth's orbit into the Law of Universal Gravity.

I've noticed a decline in spam in my Hotmail account as well. Hotmail still gives me false positives. In contrast using Yahoo! mail, I've recieved legitimate emails from real people that I know but haven't added to any address list. These emails have always been marked as legit. I recently have gone so far as to not check my bulk mail for false positives. I've also received one false negative. Right now, I think Yahoo! has an edge over Hotmail.
Many companies require 8% to be claimed at the end each shift, otherwise, they would not be able to propery clock out. I worked at a restaraunt that required such, and I also had a friend say the same as a waiter elsewhere. These restaraunts were chains, so maybe it is a safe policy placed by larger restaraunt groups. Mom & pops might not do the same.
Waiters and waitresses are required to claim a minimum of 8% above sale. Many of them claim exactly that. Since most of the money is cash in hand, restaraunts don't exactly know how much money is earned in tips. In order to raise any flags, the server would have to be living well beyond his/her booked means.
There was a time when an arcade operator in America could buy a Ms. Pac-Man machine for less than $1,000, let it sit in an arcade, bar or storefront, and see that game make back over 30 times the initial investment. In 2004, that kind of profit margin is little more than a pipe dream.
Once I save up $3000, Who needs a big screen TV when i have the girl of my dreams, and galaga to boot!/drool
You can buy/build an adapter to connect console controllers to your PC.
Back in college, my buddy built an el-cheapo racing seat arcade machine, using a broken chair, some 2x4s, and a cheap PC steering wheel and pedals modified to be compatible with PS2 Dual Shock. Then whenever he wanted to play , he'd lug over his TV and PS2 and pop in the game.
I think everybody ignores one of the key reasons for the arcade downfall: savegames. Remember playing The Legend of Zelda in the arcade? What about the original Final Fantasy or Dragon Warrior? No? Maybe it is because those games were too long to play in one sitting (or at the arcade, standing).
Arcade games used to be the film analog of a theatrical release. I remember pumping out quarters for every Street Fighter game between Street fighter 2 and Street Fighter Alpha 2. I couldn't wait for them to be released to console. When adventure and role playing games skipped the arcade, instead of having the "straight-to-video" reputation, kids shelled out their paperboy money to play games they could save (and also to play "paperboy").
The only genre that still uses the arcade to console model are the fighters.
In response to your list of arcade titles: Mo-Cap Boxing is one of the worst arcade games I've ever played. The game does not detect when I duck because I am too tall. If a game is going to be as interactive as Mo-Cap, it better be self calibrating.

Does anyone else have doubts about the operability of computer wrapped in tape? I wonder if these guys know how warm machines can get.
The US leads the world in penis enlargement technology, so why wouldn't we be trying to sell it.

That's how it is done in Soviet Russia. But if you ask me, the whole thing sounds like something cooked up by Hubert J. Farnsworth.
DRM is nothing new to consoles. Try putting your NES carts in your X-BOX, or your Dreamcast CDs in your Game Cube.

I totally agree. I like to think about copyright laws based on why I think they were conieved, to prevent others from stealing your credit.
But can it run Tetris?
