    Over the years I've been using gentoo, I've noticed that it has become MUCH more userfriendly. The documentation has improved dramatically, and now there's a graphical installer. Will this increase gentoo's install base?

    I believe that the strength of Linux comes from the fact that it has a central core, which is compatible with basically everything across distros. This makes faster development, and combined with a charismatic leader (Go Linus! :o) makes a very strong platform for an OS. These are my personal beliefs, so feel free to flame me if you disagree :)

    The controls of a flying car would probably be difficult to use, compared to regular cars, since there is another axis of movement.     Whoa, that's not what I meant. The GP said that it was impossible, and I gave a counter example. Its not that hard to strap together 10k pounds of Octol and blow it up. This could even be psychological warfare, attempting to scare us. Who knows? We should wait before jumping to conclusions.
