Unix permissions quite honestly suck. There's no way to allow some people to change a file, and others to only be able to read it without multiple groups. ACLs are the way to go:)
Doesn't BitMover realize that companies license their products due to Linus using it? Linus's sarcastic comments about BitMover just pushes companies away, as probably intended. Won't that just screw themselves over?
Is there any way to use it to (attempt to) fix Hubble? There's not all that much risk, it would keep Hubble operational, and it would test robotic technology. Is the robot functional enough to carry out repairs?
If CherryOS is sued for this, won't this test the GPL furthermore? It might finally get a court to acknowledge that the GPL is not "unconstitutional" (*cough* SCO *cough)
OnStar is nothing like a cell phone. If you're using OnStar, you have most likely already crashed. It's a system for helping you when you're in trouble, not a cell phone with speaker phone enabled. Slightly useful service:)
It seems to run on WINE for me, but I've only ran it for maybe 3 minutes now. I'm using TransGaming's Cedega (formerly WineX) version of WINE to run it though, so I'm not quite sure if it works with plain WINE.
My friends (gasp!) have told me that whenever I used my Treo, it sounded like I was stutering, and they couldn't understand me most of the time. I tried my bluetooth headset, and it worked fine. Is this a microphone problem?
How good is the accuracy? The OCR technology of today might not be able to recognize the "flowery" text of most historical documents (look at "We the People" in the Declaration of Independence)
Er, wouldn't that be against the point? That would make US products weigh more, and therefore, take up more of the allotment.

Why not use two hashes? It's exponentially harder to find a collision that fits for two hashes, isn't it?

My server logs see a slight (4%) decrease in rejected email, but it's probably just noise. When will we see a significant drop in spam?

Give/rent the students iPaqs running Linux. They have a huge "awesome" factor, and are useful too :)
If only this happened before Enron...
Well, I think virgin pulse was doing something here (read about it in the Post-Gazette), but it was about a month ago.

Near Pittsburgh? I live in Pittsburgh. Is there a way I could obtain a cell phone that could tap into the digital TV service?

Wait, will this be a linux window manager/(desk|palm)top environment, like GNOME, and KDE, or will it be a distribution of linux?
What happens when their customers already committed to Tru64? Are they left out to dry? (My work was going to go to Tru64)
But what about it working using a bluetooth microphone?
